thejazz97
VAN: Jacob Markstrom Linden Vey Chris Higgins SJS: 2nd Rd. Pick, 2015 Patrick Marleau (20% Ret.) Emil Galimov Also, in this scenario, we'd be signing Matt O'Connor. I know Markstrom and Vey are RFAs (who have more value than pending UFAs), but that doesn't mean they aren't valuable. Especially for a team apparently ridding themselves of starter Antti Niemi and needs a bit of a change-up in the locker room. In comes Higgins as well, whose abs, beard, and bright smile can turn around nearly any dark situation. On the Canucks side, we rid ourselves of another goalie controversy, as well as recouping a pick and picking up some middle 6 scoring, and a 7th rounder who is low risk, decent-to-high reward. Tom Sestito
Let's say Vey can somehow recoup the 2nd round pick we paid for him and that's somewhat equivalent value for SJ that would mean that you're saying markstrom + higgins = marleau and galimov? SJ would easily pull an Iginla type package for Marleau if they wanted to move him.
Beary Sweet
Sharks would never consider doing this deal. I'd rather watch someone do ballet than consider this deal
Crabcakes
Sharks want more for Marleau and they'd rather move Jumbo Also, they do want goaltending but not a prospect just spit balling but how about Miller and Higgins for Thornton
2SKATES1STICK
why not just ask vey for couture straight up
thejazz97
just spit balling but how about Miller and Higgins for Thornton I wouldn't. Too many centers as is and he's really not a personality I'd like around here.
Crabcakes
Jumbo could be to this group what Sundin was for the old guys but seriously, there is only 1 top 6 centre on this team and they are crappy at face offs.....what could this guy show Bo? Face-off skills. But as long as he doesn't score more than three goals, I guess... I just don't want him to be another Messier.

Pimp C
Ryan Miller to San Jose for 7th round pick.
Jiggs50
Ryan Miller Linden Vey Prospect For Marleau is a better deal. Salary wise it's really good.
Baer.
Ryan Miller Linden Vey Prospect For Marleau is a better deal. Salary wise it's really good. Not really. I'd rather keep our youth and starting goaltender rather than an aging winger with a couple seasons left at most.
