Violator
http://www.torontosun.com/2015/04/07/maclean-wont-appear-as-host-during-playoffs-report A familiar face has reportedly been dumped from this year's NHL playoff coverage. Ron MacLean, who has appeared as an NHL playoff host for close to three decades, is not scheduled to be in a host's chair when the post-season rolls around next week, according to a Globe report. With Rogers scheduled to broadcast all eight first-round playoff series, MacLean will act solely as Coach's Corner co-host to Don Cherry, who is expected to appear on a near-nightly basis throughout the playoffs. “Oh, I’m happy,” MacLean said, according to the Globe. “I think it will be good for (Cherry) to do Coach’s Corner every night.” MacLean has played a much smaller role on Hockey Night in Canada ever since George Stroumboulopoulos took over the big chair. Instead, MacLean largely featured on Hometown Hockey throughout the 2014-15 season. An Angus Reid Institute poll released late last year found that 74% of respondents thought MacLean's diminished role on Hockey Night hurt the programming's brand. Rogers won a 12-year, $5.2 billion contract with the NHL last year to steal broadcast rights away from the CBC. I see no problem with this
AriGold
Don't care much for him or his demeanor towards the Canucks. Glad to see less of him and more of George to be honest.
Heretic
LOL - wouldn't say they "stole" it from CBC - they "bought it! Myself, much prefer Ron over George....something about George just doesn't fit....lack of hockey knowledge perhaps?

avelanch
i can't stand george.... is he the host? I feel like Brent Butt would make a better host and would be far more entertaining.
Baer.
I like Strombo cause he doesn't know much about hockey so he leaves it to the anylists and people who know their sh*t to talk. Macleans always trying to get an extra word in.
GLASSJAW
maclean is lightyears ahead of George. Strombo is an okay person, seems nice and all, but the way he so eagerly leans into people and bursts into laughter at all the lame ass jokes tossed around the panel really irritates me

HerrDrFunk
I actually like George as a host because all he does is....stick with me here....hosts the show. I think he does a great job of letting the people with actual hockey knowledge talk and moves the topics along very well.
RonMexico
Bring back Howie Meeker! And the Telestrator. Back it up! Stop it right there!
Miss Korea Bob.Loblaw
LOL - wouldn't say they "stole" it from CBC - they "bought it! Myself, much prefer Ron over George....something about George just doesn't fit....lack of hockey knowledge perhaps? He also doesn't present himself well as a respectable host. If you're a host of a show you should at least try to look clean and presentable. Strombo's got this greasy hair and beard thing going on. It doesn't match the other four guys who are clean-cut and clean-shaven. It's unprofessional.
King Heffy
Writing is on the wall. They're basically forcing Maclean to retire. Well overdue. He should have been fired on the spot after the slander he committed against Burrows.
