Phil_314 Posted April 13, 2015 Share Posted April 13, 2015 As it stands, I'd rather trade Sbisa and Juice to shed their $8.2 M cap (as mentioned, Juice is getting old and we should work Clendening and some of the other young, ready guys into the roster) and re-sign Stanton and Weber for the 3rd pairing for much cheaper, but it's tough to say if we can even do that right now. Adding another 34-year-old doesn't make sense when we could bring up Pedan or sign another FA to be the tough guy for cheap, and who knows how much Barret would look for in terms of salary? If he'd take a salary of little more than $1 M then sure, otherwise just give him a PTO if he somehow remains unsigned. Don't see how L.A. lets him go if they want to replace Regehr.
