Hectic
I would like to point out that in today's game vs the Coyotes, we were essentially missing an entire forward line due to injury - Matthias/Richardson/Kassian. Now I am loving the depth that we have, but if all the forwards were healthy, what would your lineup be? It's a pretty tough call and I don't think many people will have the same lineup, so I figured it would be interesting to see what everyone's perspectives are in regards to the lines. I would have it as follows: Sedin - Sedin - Kassian Baertschi - Bonino - Vrbata Burrows - Horvat - Hansen Higgins - Richardson - Dorsett Honestly this is not easy, because I currently have Vey, Matthias, and Kenins not in the lineup. I've never seen a Canucks team with this much depth up front, and of course looking at this lineup there are a few things that I would point out that I am sure people would disagree with - new line combinations may not be the best idea considering players have developed chemistry with one another. Also, scratching Kenins and Matthias specifically may not be the best idea considering that it is playoff hockey. This is not an easy task! Let's see what everyone comes up with! -Moose
Mine would be: Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Higgins - Bonino - Vrbata Matthias - Richardson - Kassian Dorsett - Horvat - Hansen Vey Kennins *Burrows/Vrbata/Kassian can swap lines as necessary* I feel like this lineup could do a lot of damage in the playoffs. If I was Calgary, I'd be nervous.
dank.sinatra
Sedins - Burrows Higgins - Boner - Vrbata Matthias - Richardson - Kassian Hansen - Horvat - Dorsett That's a pretty badass lineup, but really depends if Kassian and Richardson can get back up to speed quickly. Really hoping they can because Richardson in over Vey would be hugely beneficial for the playoffs. Kassian over Kenins will help quite a bit too, not that Kenins deserves to come out but you have to dress your best players. I really like Baertschi and think he could have a huge year next season but I would like to see him go down to Utica and be at the forefront of a Calder Cup run. No point putting pressure on him to help out the Canucks in the playoffs when he hasn't been here all year and has no playoff experience. He should only be used if the coaching staff sees him as being an absolute difference maker, which I just can't imagine right now.
-Moose
Sedin's and Burr have been amazing lately, there is no way that line gets changed. I can't see Baertschi in the starting lineup because he hasn't proved his worth yet. I think you have the ideal lineup here but realistically I see: Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Higgins - Bonino - Vrbata Mathias - Richardson - Kassian Dorsett - Horvat - Hansen WIthout Richy and Kass Sedin - Sedin - Burrows Higgins - Bones - Vrbata Baertschi - Mathias - Dorsett Kenins - Horvat - Hansen This. However, I'm not sure Vey will be as useless against the Flames. Baertschi is still a big ???. Don't think it's fair to slot him in the lineup for the playoffs, after all the work the boys have done to get here; including Vey even. Send Baert to Utica to help in the Calder run. After we make it out of the first round, depending on who we matchup against; Vey may be cut.
dura_mater
So Matthias has 3rd (?) most goals on the Canucks and you want to leave him out of your lineup for Baertschi?! Baertschi may become a great player for us but he currently doesn't deserve a spot over Matthias or the majority of the lineup unless there are injuries. People love to rag on Matthias but he has the size to succeed in the playoffs (even if he isn't overly physical).

Professor.of.Perception
Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata Matthias-Bonino-BurrowsHiggins-Horvat-HansenDorsett-Richardson-Kassian If the team is healthy, id like to have a dominant first line. Our 4 line depth will be able to out pace most teams. Although i do agree with the risk in new lines come playoffs, and the facts that its harder to shut down a team with more then one line who is an offensive threat. Sedin Sedin Kassian Higgins Bonino Vrbata Matthias Richardson Burrows Kenins Horvat Hansen switch Burrows and Kassian depending on the game/series This is also a very balanced team but its missing Dorsett, and i like him come playoffs. I have liked the small amount of what I have seen, hopefully he can actually get results in the next game. The idea of sending someone down So we can win a calder is just ridiculous if they can help win a cup.

Pears
I think we need to put Baertschi in since I'm almost positive he'll want to light the Flames up for giving up on him. Sedin - Sedin - Kassian Higgins - Bonino - Vrbata Baertschi - Horvat - Burrows Dorsett - Matthias - Hansen Vey, Kenins, Richardson Richie comes in if healthy and Baertschi disappoints. Ossi Vaananen
Making me miss Ritchie, just noticed his 21 in 45, which is damn impressive for the 3rd/4th line C role he plays. Healthy: Sedin Sedin Burrows Higgins Bonino Vrbata Matthias Richardson Kassian Dorsett Horvat Hansen Vey, Baert, McMillan Not back in time: Sedin Sedin Burrows Baertschi Bonino Vrbata Higgins Matthias Dorsett Kenins Horvat Hansen Bottom 6 would be amazing if Kass/Ritchie were back.
