underrated
To Edmonton: LeCavalier, 2015 2nd round pick To Philadelphia: 2015 4th round pick Why for Edmonton: LeCavalier is not going to Edmonton in this deal for present day talent. He is there to mentor the young guys like RNH (especially as a centerman), Hall, Yakupov, Eberle. He fills a need on the roster as a big veteran centreman. He has negative trade value due to his contract, so Edmonton gets more assets while only really giving up cap space. Essentially the Oilers trade cap space for mentorship from a veteran captain material big centerman who fills their second line center spot. Edmonton needs to surround their young guys with character veterans who help contribute to the future of the franchise. LeCavalier gives the team that, along with a future asset. Philadelphia will gladly part with a pick to dump his salary.

HerrDrFunk
So the Flyers have to dump a 2nd round pick to get rid of LeCavalier? Not happening.
thejazz97
Edmonton doesn't need another middleman to add to their slew of centers. Philadelphia won't pay that price for a 4th.
thejazz97
A better proposal would be with Toronto: Lecavalier and B. Schenn for Kozun and Reimer
underrated
So the Flyers have to dump a 2nd round pick to get rid of LeCavalier? Not happening. Absolutely they would. He would be bought out if Philadelphia could, but they've used their two buyouts and don't have the chance

orango
A better proposal would be with Toronto: Lecavalier and B. Schenn for Kozun and Reimer Lmao, I'm sorry but that trade is way off. It would take quite a bit more from Toronto to get Schenn, even if they are taking on Lavavalier's contract with it

Greene02
I doubt Kevin Lowe is a big Lecavalier fan after he jumped his son last week.
