Mattrek
Rule #1 of a coaches job is to undersell and over deliver. The close second rule is never underestimate a team. Especially in the public. Remember Edmonton and LA? How'd that work out?
FlyLow_
I don't really care what he says after the game as long as he gets the team to play like they did last night.
tyhee
How many minutes the Sedins get last night ? 17:59 for Daniel, 16:01 for Henrik. With a 2-0 lead after the 1st, and 3-0 with almost 18 minutes left, this was a good game to limit their minutes, especially late in the third period. There was no reason to unduly expose them to Hartley's Hooligans.
alfstonker
How many minutes the Sedins get last night ? Enough to keep them fresh for what we hope is to come. How refreshing that is. We rest the Twins and still win. Don't drink the media koolade

Understand
Things that he's asked are meaningless as well, so what do you expect? As long as he says the right things to the team, which he apparently does, he could stand in front of the press and rap for all I care. As a fan, we expect him to say something honest, something the fans are interested in knowing, not reading the same script every time. It is almost funny to hear him saying the Oilers or the Sabers are good team and that it will be a super hard games etc....how is the Oliers or Sabers a good team? So a 0-82 team can be considered a good team according to WD? lol......Look at coaches who are confident and with a swagger, they look mean and they kind of look down on other teams (Joel Quenneville, Claude Julien etc). JeremyCuddles
Last thing WD needs to do is give fuel to the competition, remember what happened when Luongo criticized Thomas? Was that really criticism? Luongo was praising Thomas all series. Luongo was just upset Thomas had nothing good to say about him.
NuckleheadFan
WD is just giving the opponents some respect. As long as he keeps the boys focused, keep our boys from under-estimating the opponent, and keep playing our game and leave everything out on the ice, then I'll just keep enjoying what's going on on the ice. Orka
WD gives the media NOTHING, which is what it should be. Torts gave them too much to write about.
