All they will need is goaltending and they will be a serious threat. They got rid of miller for a rebuild, but now that rebuild is complete. They already have: Mcdavid/Eichel Reignhart Kane Hodgson Bogosian + + + Miller would deffiently waive to go back to Buffalo. Especially if Lack keeps up his play in the post-season. Miller is watching Lack take his spot. Will a veteran goalie like miller like splitting games? No he wants to be the #1 guy just like everyother goalie. If theres no chance of a trade to the Ducks or Sharks, then the Sabers are the next best choice. Jensen would be a great bottom 6 winger for them. Who is also young. I think this trade works well for both sides. Obviously the 1st rounder is the later pick if your wondering.To VAN: 2016 2nd To NYI: Higgins Higgins would most likely waive to go to New York. I cant see NYI having a problem giving up a 2nd for a home town shut down winger. He comes with lots of playoff experience and would have a leadership role with the young islanders squad. Would help them a lot on the PK and overall defensively. The pick is for 2016 because the Islanders have no 1st in 2015. So they will most likely keep their 2nd. Plus Benning seems to think 2016 is a deeper draft. So he may rather the 2016 pick instead of getting our 2nd back this year.Summary: Out: Miller Jensen HigginsIn: 2015 1st 2016 2ndAlso free up 8.5M in cap space (+jensen's cap hit) Thoughts? He asked to be traded because they were in rebuild. But the rebuild is complete and they need a goalie. Yes they may rather Lack. But they wont get him.
