Price, Ovechkin and Tavares named Hart finalists

Recommended Posts

Price has a pretty good defence in front of him, including a Norris Trophy winner in Subban. It's not like he's getting shelled every single night, that team play pretty darn well in front of him, even if there aren't as many stars as some of the other teams.

Tavares definately shouldn't win considering how many good young players the Islanders have on that team, the likes of Strome, Brock Nelson, Okposo etc. have chipped in a LOT of goals this season.

Meanwhile in Washington, sure there's Ovechkin and a few secondary scorers but Ovi carries the highest percentage of a teams goals by quite a margin. He deserves to win it this season.

Wasn't Crosby injured in 2012, making Malkin their only superstar? And Crosby shouldn't have gotten it last year IMO.

Crosby is like Lidstrom.

Wins the trophy when there are no real standouts in the year.

MVP is OV without question. 53 goals on a defense first teeam. This season no other player came close to 50 goals. I think Stamkos had 42 for 2nd place.

Because of Canadian media bias It will be difficult for him to win the trophy though.

Canadian media is pushing Price who should get vezina obviously but Hart belongs to OV.
