Gstank29
OK? what about Subban and Griener! Why does Benning keep signing us grinders, seriously, because I don't see Joseph Labate ever being a top 6 in the NHL.
Gstank29
You do realize Subban has the most potential out of all our D-men right now. So losing Subban will be a huge loss for our defence because Subban can be easily a Krug. You can crack your witty jokes all you like but not signing Subban will be a huge loss for this franchise going forward. He is a special and unique talent. Gaudette Celly
It's like this guy doesn't realize we have 2 months until the draft... Haha, Benning still yanking Desiboy's chain. Gonna sign all these other guys, amping up the agnst, and wait till the last possible minute for maximum panty-wetting panic.
cuporbust
In the games I saw with LaBate in a comets jersey he impressed. He's a C which Utica lacks right now. He seems to bring a solid two way game, he's an excellent skater that can be relied upon. 6'4" isn't too shabby either. He'll get a chance to develop with the Comets now. I don't see him spending any time in the ECHL. Wouldn't call a minus 17 rating in 35 games solid two way play In fact , his offensive numbers suck too so.......why is everyone exited ???? He's big??? Great. Just what this team needs. Another big fourth line grinder
FlyLow_
Interesting. One of the few guys I've almost never seen play a game. As for Subban, while I don't share the enthusiasm JB said yesterday he will be signed soon. Offensive D might be a need on the main club right now, but it's not in our system. We already have much better offensive D signed.
saucypass
Haven't seen Labate play. Anyone who has can hopefully maybe comment on how he's been?

Something like 11 freshmen and that resulted in I think 9 wins all year
hsedin33
When did he say this? This was how long ago, Subban should of been signed by now. It is concerning that's all. Yesterday at the year end presser. Do some research before spouting your mouth off.
canuktravella
Subban is a quicker passer and quicker skater than Tanev. krug isnt that good his team didnt make playoffs
panelguy
Subban is a quicker passer and quicker skater than Tanev. Maybe Tanev should speed up his play with the puck so he doesn't get pounded so often. Maybe he's a hard learner .
hatedkid666
Don't make this about Subban. Labate is good young player with size and can easily be a good 4th liner for us in the future

Highly unlikely he ever plays a game in the NHL. Let's see if anyone claims him when he re-enters the draft this summer.
DeNiro
Bottom 6 players are important too. Calgary showed that to us.
Dazzle
Subban is a midget dude. Highly unlikely he ever plays a game in the NHL. Let's see if anyone claims him when he re-enters the draft this summer. They said the same thing about Brett Hull. They said the same thing about Theoren Fleury. They said the same thing about Martin St. Louis. Doesn't mean that midget players automatically get exempted. You're stating the obvious; it is a hard road to go to the NHL, even if you have "NHL size". Subban was one of the best (as in highest scoring) defenseman in the OHL this year. You obviously didn't know that because you think he wouldn't get picked up in the next draft. Laughable.

I would like to see what he can do at wing before I wrote him off completely. The Canucks converted similarly sized Scott Walker from D to forward successfully; Wendel Clark was also moved to forward by the Leafs due to size concerns. Granted, those guys were tough little amigos but like you say, Subban does have considerable skill. We'll see what happens, but come on, at his size, Jordan is a long shot. jstewboy
When did he say this? This was how long ago, Subban should of been signed by now. It is concerning that's all. So you don't watch the most recent and biggest interview to end the season, yet have you wild opinions on most if not all decisions and to-be-made decisions within the organization. Do you just speculate everything until someone tells you you're wrong? Must be an interesting world you live in.
N7Nucks
But can he average 2-3 points a game in Utica? We all know the elite players average at least 3.

Most likely they have talked and an offer is out on the table. It's just that Subban is considering it/negotiating for the best deal. Normal practice really.
