numb3r 16
I was just looking back at our 2011 Stanley cup run and wondering, what if we played against the lightning. It was either the Tampa Bay lightning or the Boston bruins
The Magician
............................................. For what it's worth, we probably would have swept them.
Duds
If we had played Tampa the Canucks would have swept, the city wouldn't have been rioted in, Kesler would have been content to stay a Canuck, Horvat would be stuck as third line center with no chance of increasing ice time, his dad would have made enough fuss that Benning would be forced to trade him to Buffalo, and Horvats career would be spinning down the toilet. Why would you wish that on Horvat?!
felixthecat_potvin
Nope, would've lost regardless.

Beary Sweet
Lol same time . We prolly would've won for sure. Luongo would've never wanted out, and Gillis could POTENTIALLY still be GM of this team.
Miltt
We would have won, guaranteed. 4 straight shut outs, outscoring them 24-0. It's a fact, that is what would have happened.

So what you're saying is we probably wouldn't have Linden Vey. Hmmmm maybe it would not have been worth it to win it vs. TBay; therefore it's a good thing we lost... hockeyfan90
Yea thinking back to that time, what if Chicago scored in OT in game 7 in round 1. It goes both ways. Got to move on from 2011 dude

iinatcc
What if Montreal didn't choke that Playoffs. I blame Montreal over any other team
N7Nucks
I think things might still have played out the same somewhat. Maybe Erhoff would've stayed, doubtful though considering it's pretty much fact he left for money.

6of1_halfdozenofother
Tampa would've won the cup, because Count Bettman wishes it so.
Pickly
Another what if thread. Yup, must be the off season and I expect many more of these redundant threads until September.
iinatcc
Gillis would still be here I think. He would have been contented to move Schneider and keep Luongo. Gillis would also have not abandoned the Detroit model for a poorly planned out Boston model. So he would still have his job for another season or two.
