Time Lord
Horvat played a good part of the season facing off against the other teams 1C (Toews, Thornton, Getzlaf etc). He didn't just play, he was winning draws and helping burn those minutes so the Sedins could come on with a favourable matchup. Horvat is not overrated. I wouldn't be surprised to see him as 2C with PP time this coming year. He will have to earn it with a good off season and early season effort. Actually, he was just getting a few shifts against other teams' top lines when he was playing well. Bonino on the other hand played the whole season consistently against top lines. JamesB
Actually, he was just getting a few shifts against other teams' top lines when he was playing well. Bonino on the other hand played the whole season consistently against top lines. Good point. But in the numbers, in the second half of the season, Bonino, Henrik and Horvat were pretty close in strength of competition. I agree that Bonino had the toughest minutes overall, but not by a big margin. The only center who was really protected was Vey and he still did very little in the second half of the season. (Richardson was injured for most of the second half and Matthias only played center on rare occasions).
