Monty Posted May 16, 2015 Share Posted May 16, 2015 Scott Kosmachuk isn't going anywhere at this point. He's not an untouchable, but he almost made the Jets this season on the 4th line. There's a good chance he will make their roster next season, but more likely the season after. Most important, he's cheap and young. Chevy is building the team from within and with youth. As a Canuck fan, I don't mind Higgins and his manageable contract. As a Jets fan, I don't want his age taking up a roster spot. The Jets also don't need him as they have Perreault, Lowry, and Petan jockeying for 3rd line minutes next season and Ehlers most likely taking over Frolik's role on the second line.
