PhillipBlunt Posted May 18, 2015 Share Posted May 18, 2015 I really think Benning should do his best to pry Brent Burns out of San Jose and Milan Lucic out of Boston. Right now both teams are in limbo with the Canucks already in the bell curve of the ascent. Trading for Burns and Lucic would be huge for the Canucks. They would answer so many needs. Both are huge players. Both play on contending teams top lines. Burns just one gold at the Worlds, and, well, Milan won the Stanley Cup. They are both perfect additions in both positions. I would suggest: Ryan Miller, Nicklas Jensen, Chris Higgins, rights to Yannick Weber (not sure if feasible) and a 3rd round draft pick to San Jose for Brent Burns and 2nd round draft pick in 2017 to Vancouver Radim Vrbata, Brendan Gaunce, Anton Cederholm, and Joe Cannata to Boston Milan Lucic to Vancouver Instant contender. Just add other team's sorry carcass. Although with Burns we should be able to us him as a forward Sedin - Sedin - Burns Lucic - Bonino - Kassian Baertschi - Horvat - Burrows Dorsett - Gaunce/Matthias/Richardson - Hansen What about lack of size and toughness again?
