SabreFan1
I'm a little surprised that nobody here is talking about Nolan and his soon to be coaching gig with the Vancouver Giants.

SabreFan1
I'm surprised you spelled 'surprise' two different ways Thanks for the heads up. I hate making typos. It's even worse when it's done in the title.
PhillipBlunt
I think Nolan will flourish. It must have been depressing to coach such a disconnected bunch of players in Buffalo. Glad he's got a head coaching job in a less pressurized environment. I hope he does well.

I was just poking fun I think a lot of fans are indulging in Utica's playoff run and that's why this has flown under the radar.

I actually appreciate when people point out some of my more egregious typos. I'm a grammar and spelling nazi. Actually up until yesterday it was only speculation and whispers. I only first found out about it 2 or 3 days ago myself.

Ghostsof1915
Not yet, but it's almost a done deal. I don't read the trash tabloid known as the Province because Tony Gallagher (aka Cryptkeeper) is a total moron. So I wouldn't have heard about. I hope he gets the gig and the Giants get to the Memorial Cup.
RUPERTKBD
Cougar fan, but I'll be glad to see Nolan land on his feet again after so mean years of being blacklisted by the NHL.

Coaching a bottom-feeder like Buffalo might do that to you. Also, how is Ehrhoff's quest for the cup going?
Tanev's Smirk
Coaching a bottom-feeder like Buffalo might do that to you. Also, how is Ehrhoff's quest for the cup going? About as good as the Canucks quest for one.
combover
Cougar fan, but I'll be glad to see Nolan land on his feet again after so mean years of being blacklisted by the NHL. Blacklisted. Maybe there's reason he can't hold an nhl job. He's strikes me as a head case wannabe torts / Keenan type who's days as pro coach are over. To bad for the Giants
RUPERTKBD
Coaching a bottom-feeder like Buffalo might do that to you. Also, how is Ehrhoff's quest for the cup going? Buffalo wasn't a bottom feeder during Nolan's first go round with the Sabres. In fact, TN won the Jack Adams with the '96-'97 team. He was blacklisted because he and Hasek didn't see eye to eye. The GM at the time, John Muckler offered an insulting 1 yr., 500k contact after the Jack Adams win. Speculation is Nolan was perceived as a "GM killer" after leaving Buffalo, since Muckler was let go after the public feud.
the last outlaw
Had no idea Claude Noel was let go. Third coaching change in a less then a year (Ward, Noel and Nolan).

RUPERTKBD
Wanna try that part again? Yeah, that's right. Regier offered the deal after taking over from Muckler. That's what I get for going off the top of my head.
RonMexico
Had no idea Claude Noel was let go. Third coaching change in a less then a year (Ward, Noel and Nolan). The team and Noel 'mutually parted ways' in March. I think I read that Noel wants to work in the NHL again.
