Canucks Curse
In the closing pressed bergevin said they need a big 1C. But most teams need that and plekanrc and a late 1st Won't get u that
Zfetch
To clarify, you're allowed to trade at any given time. The trade deadline is only in place as the last day a team can trade for a player that would be eligible for the upcoming playoffs.
Me_
Habs desperately need size at center so could it be SJ. Marleau or Thornton. Marleau in Montreal. Ouch.
Tony Romo
I didn't think there could be a trade until the playoffs were over I'm pretty sure as soon as both teams are out of the playoffs they can trade
peaches5
Plekanecs scored more goals and had more points last year than Marleau and was a plus/minus 8 whereas Marleau was -17. Marleau is also turning 36 before the start of next season trading Plekanecs for him would end up making the Habs worse imo.
desiboynux4lifee*******
Well it's not the Oilers because there is no way they trade Eberle after his tremendous showing in the IHF and they would be dumb to trade draistl or Yakupov because Mcdavid could be what Yakupov needs to get to the next level. Pears
If it's a blockbuster it's gotta be for Malkin. He's exactly what they need and would be the perfect mentor for Galchenyuk. Plekanec, Beaulieu, Fucale, 1st+?
hsedin33
I'm pretty sure as soon as both teams are out of the playoffs they can trade You can trade at anytime, but that player cannot play on your team that season if its past the deadline.

MoneypuckOverlord
Bergevin went in air in his exit interview saying top centres are not easy to get mentioned last time 2 that were available, were joe Thornton and most recent Ryan Kesler, mentioned he only wanted to play in Anaheim. He is looking for a centre.

Guest
Plekanec isn't the kind of player that would put up big numbers in the west, so it would have to be a fellow eastern team. Neither team in a blockbuster wants to face their former player eight times a season, so it has to be different division. So that narrows it down to Malkin, Strome, Dubinsky, Johansen or Eric Staal. Surely Montreal haven't got the assets to snag Malkin? All this of course is unless a western team is exceptionally stupid.
