-Watched 6 Utica games

-Virtanen has made plays, been a physical presence and moved from the 4th to the 2nd line (Baertschi-Friesen-Virtanen)

-Baertschi is a high skilled player who has been dangerous dispite not producing

-Willie was at the game last night

-Baertschi is pencilled in for the 2nd/3rd line next year

-Grenier has come a long way, worked on his skating, work ethic and conditions

-Friesen/Hamilton/Bancs are the "work ethic" leaders in Utica

-Corrado and Clendening ARE waivers eligible next year

-Benning is going to have meetings about the future in the next couple of weeks

-Ehrhoff, have 9 NHL defenceman (without Erhoff) on there roster for next year, may target some players via trade/UFA

-Hutton was the odd man out with 9 defencemanon the Utica roster, wanted him on a summer workout program

-Some old, needs to get faster and more physical so they can dicate the pace/style of the game. Benning will be working the phones to try and accomplish this if someone becomes available

-Mad we lost

-Markstrom looks like a young BEN BISHOP (means Lack or Miller is gone IMO)

-Waiting for Utica season to end before choosing the direction they want to go

-Mentioned recovering draft picks and young players into the system

-In talks with teams on a day to day bases

Interesting. So Markstrom sounds like he'll be on the squad next year. Miller or Lack now will be gone. Also, it sounds like he might move a D or two to recover our second/third picks. Gonna be a suspenseful off season!

With that Ehrhoff point, does it mean that we already have 9 NHL calibre defensemen, or would adding Ehrhoff be 9 NHL calibre defensemen? It's nice to see Baertschi has seemingly earned his spot already on the club next year as his play in the few games he was up here showed he was ready to play in the NHL.

Interesting... If we did add Ehrhoff, one or two of Stanton, Weber, Corrado, and Clendening are most certainly gone...

Leaving with Tanev, Edler, Bieksa, Hamhuis, Ehrhoff, Sbisa, Clendening/Corrado

-Virtanen has made plays, been a physical presence and moved from the 4th to the 2nd line (Baertschi-Friesen-Virtanen): Imagine Virtanen with an actual playmaker.

-Baertschi is pencilled in for the 2nd/3rd line next year: Good-bye, Higgins? Or just Matthias?

-Corrado and Clendening ARE waivers eligible next year: Good-bye, Juice?

-Benning is going to have meetings about the future in the next couple of weeks: Please, oh please Come Undone for Chychrun!

-Some old, needs to get faster and more physical so they can dicate the pace/style of the game. Benning will be working the phones to try and accomplish this if someone becomes available: Or how about just put in Virtanen?

-Mad we lost: Why? All we wanted to do was make the playoffs, right?

-Markstrom looks like a young BEN BISHOP (means Lack or Miller is gone IMO): Need upsell here with Matthias leaving.

-Mentioned recovering draft picks and young players into the system: "Who wants Linden Vey?"

Stop talking about upcoming mgt meetings.

Should lousy deals(Vey, Sbisa) bite him on the azz, will he claim there were 'group' mistakes made? At least Gillis took responsibility for decisions & direction.

what a knob

why is sbisa a bad deal?

Baertchi would be so happy to hear that he's in on the 2nd/3rd line in Benning's mind.

Still has to earn it though. However, he's been incredible in Utica.

Maybe some PP time as well?

I doubt Erhoff is coming here unless it is a deal that can't be passed up. Trading away Hamhuis/Bieksa to make cap space then bring in Erhoff for the same $$$ is like a slap in the face to guys who have been extremely loyal to the club. Anyways, Clendenning/Corrado should be expected to bring offense to the back end.

Ehrhoff can help us win a Stanley Cup like he said he would help Buffalo with that $10m deal.
