ForsbergTheGreat Posted May 30, 2015 Share Posted May 30, 2015 In terms of D prospect oilers aren't really hurting to bad, Nurse is going to be a stud, Shultz and Klefbom are also going to be be top 4 guys. This problem with oilers D is that they took longer to develop than their first overalls. By not doing this deal they keep eberle (a top line forward) and they will still get to draft a strong player at #16 or use it to pick up a goalie. Then in 2 or 3 years when McDavid and Leon are NHL impact players then can afford to move out RNH to acquire an already developed top 2 D. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Phil_314 Posted May 30, 2015 Share Posted May 30, 2015 Highly doubt Edmonton would move one of the few sure things on their roster in Ebbs just to move up 10 spots and get Damon. Maybe Ebbs for Larsson + 2nd? Oil need big-minute D-men, and they can probably play Adam behind Mark Fayne to shelter him somewhat until he develops into a stable top-4 guy (I'm presuming Yak keeps developing, btw).
