Honestly, it's about the ability to move and battle, and good luck when it counts. For a roster, priorities should include
#1 top-end, two-way defender with puck-moving ability
#2 top-end center with offensive ability
#3 second-line center to lighten the top guy's load (should be complementary e.g. offensive Getzlaf, two-way Kes)
#4 cheap kid depth in skill and hustle (e.g. Tampa's kid line, heck guys like Horvat from this past year)
#5 adequate goalie
#6 complementary role players (penalty killers, physical speedsters, puck-moving depth, physical depth, scoring depth)

Seeing this year's final four teams, speed and skill are at quite the premium, ahead of size/ physicality (these are still important but more as depth). Tyler Johnson's line and Patty Kane are some of the smallest guys but they do damage, but it takes a solid mixture of all the things mentioned above, and probably more.

Personally, my go to recipe is lemongrass chicken. Never fails to disappoint.

6 teaspoons of shrimp paste toasted lightly

3 teaspoons of lemon juice

1 finely chopped lemongrass stem

3 cloves of garlic finely chopped

1 teaspoon tumeric

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

1 tablespoon of palm sugar

1 red chili (deseeded) finely chopped

Vegetable or grapeseed oil - enough to marinade your chicken thighs

Allow your chicken thighs (600-900g) to marinade. Pre-heat oven to 190C. Cook for 15 minutes. Take out, flip chicken thighs, pour remaining marinade on. Cook for 10 minutes.

Can be enjoyed on rice or my personal favourite, in wraps with sweet chili sauce.
