Kragar
FREMONT STREET Seriously. We had more fun on Fremont than the strip. 5 blocks covered by a giant tv blaring music and light shows. Stages with live music/DJs every day and night. Giant outside bars with dancing ladies on them. And awesome casinos all the way down. Also, try the heart attack grill. Great burgers and a really fun place to be. Fremont is cool, but it's been a while since I have been down there. I heard you can zipline down it, even while the Fremont Experience (the light show) is running. That sounds awesome! When we go, we tend to stay at or near Bellagio... we just love the fountains. Could watch them for hours with a good drink. Sucks that Bellagio closed the Fontana bar. It was an almost perfect spot to watch them. OP, enjoy!! nuckin_futz
So we ended up booking it for the BC day long weekend. 3 nights (Saturday, Sunday, Monday), 4 basically full days (Get into Vegas at noon saturday, don't depart Vegas until 10pm Tuesday) Staying at the MGM Grand condos $560 per person including taxes, fees, and roundtrip flights out of YVR. Edit: 560 canadian, it was like $435 USD There's going to be $22 per day hotel fees that we don't pay until we go, but I've heard you can often get it waived. If not, I'll probably end up winning back the amount of the fee anyways. What do you experienced travellers think? Good value for what we're getting for the time of year? Are you staying in the MGM Signature Towers or the stinky old MGM? If you look at the picture of the pool posted above, those are the Signature towers in the back. Don't waste your awake hours in the MGM. It's almost as bad as Treasure Island, Circus Circus and Trump all full of elderly cheap skates. My favs are Bellagio, The Wynn, the Hard Rock Casino (though it's a few blocks off the strip) and Mandalay Bay. Can't give any recommendations on an outdoor pool. As the thought of getting into a pool/pseudo-public-toilet with a few hundred drunken revelers gives me the willies.
Apple Juice
why people complain so much about Allegiant Air? they´re supposed to be a low-cost airline so don´t think you gonna have full service. if you want low prices you have to understand that doesn´t come for free. it´s the Ryanair from USA. don´t ask for a premium United service when you´re paying 60 or less bucks for a 3 hour flight When I took Allegiant Air last year for EDC, my biggest complaint was the flight delay. To and from Bellingham to Vegas, there were always flight delays. Going to Vegas was about a 20 minute flight delay and flying from Vegas was an hour flight delay. And worst part was, I was already in the plane seated ready to go and we had flight delays. The one hour flight delay was literally just a few hours after I left EDC on the last day and I was exhausted to even try and complain. We weren't allowed to get out of our seat to at least stretch our legs from all that sitting during that hour flight delay and complaints were flying through the roof. Otherwise, no complaints as all I wanted was to fly there and back. Just the flight delays really killed it.

I'm glad we can use MGM pools, but MGM guests can't use our signature tower's pools, it'll give us time away from the guidos.
