johngould21
Joe to think that Hjalmarsson wasn't all that good not too many years ago. Proof that D men take longer to develope.
TOMapleLaughs
Yup, defensemen take longer to develop for sure. But there are some pickups that are closer. imho Andersson is likely one of those, as he doesn't have to build as much strength as a lot of other defensemen prospects. However, we're likely talking 2-3 years with most talented prospects anyway, and what are we honestly going to do as a team in that span? We seem to have stop-gaps in place, so it's not much of an issue. Hjalmarsson was also a 4th rounder. Proof that defensive defensemen can be found in later rounds and that there are some late round gems to be had in euro leagues. There's actually quite a lot of proof on that. GB5
To answer the question; oliver kylington..keith yandle Yandle at one time could seemingly win games by himself. Albeit I don't but a lot of faith in these comparisons.
smithers joe
i don't think they're saying, this is who they will turn out to be, but the style of play, they play the closest to...i still like chabot's play...

Kylington is 6ft-183 Yandle is 6ft1-190 (Oliver should fill out to be similar...say 6ft2-200) They skate the same (Yandle always reminded me of what Kermit the Frog would look like skating...I hope he never gets traded to Dallas 'cause I'll bust a gut watching him skate!), they attack the net the same, heck they both even look awkward with a stick that looks too long for their height, but it works for them both. Only difference is Yandle went in 4th round, Kylington should go in the 1st
