Skirbs11 Posted June 14, 2015 Share Posted June 14, 2015 So Hypothetically at the draft Edmonton Trades 2015 1st #16 overall to NYR for Cam Talbot.....This is a rumoured trade and something Edmonton is willing to do. Now this trade creates some sort of Benchmark price for goalies. Buffalo now wants to get in and get a younger starting goalie they can have for the foreseeable future Vancouver trades Eddie Lack to Buffalo for 2015 first #21 overall.- Buffalo just watched as Edm. traded a pick 5 spots higher for a goalie of similar value and makes a trade to help there team in an area of great need. Talbot played for a great rangers team who just happen to be 6 deep in NHL level d-men. This is similar to fasth playing behind a good Ducks team. Trading a 16th overall pick in a stacked draft for a backup goalie is the reason the Oilers continue to suck year after year. With Chiarelli on board though, I dont see them making these kind of stupid moves again. Kevin Lowe/Mac T are horrible managers. Draft two of either Chabot, Kylington, Roy, Zboril, Pilon or Carlsson. Makarov and the rest of the Sabres' goalie prospects this past season weren't very impressive. Hopefully the Sabres either get Samsonov and/or the goalie prospects get back on track.
