Doogie
To Edmonton: Eddie Lack, Kevin Bieksa (Hamhuis), Jensen/Higgins To Vancouver: 16th pick and 33rd selection Edmonton gets a great goalie which they desperately need, they get some help and leadership on the back-end as well as Jensen who played great in the finals for Utica. Vancouver gets a second round pick as well as mid first which makes up for no third or second. Vancouver can then use two of either the 33rd, 23, and 16th to move up in the draft; Barzal anyone? . Vancouver also sheds some much needed cap space. Do you think this would work? If not what could make it work ? P.S. I don't mind trading to a rival in order to make our team better. Dekey Pete
How does this make the team better? Picks are a straight gamble and we lose 2-3 roster players.

Fateless
So you want to trade a starting goaltender, a top 4 defenceman, a 2nd/3rd liner, as well as two picks to get Barzal? How do you get through life with that brain?

SaintPatrick33
Oilers seem to be in play for Talbot, once Talbot is traded then we will see the market for Lack open up. I seriously doubt though that a team will give up a first rounder for him, the goalie market is flooded with B type goalies.
ChickenDinner
I think this is a good proposal, Barzal is touted to be a 1st line center and everyone saying its a bad deal will likely eat there words in a few year. No way is it an overpayment Lack = 2nd Bieksa, Higgins, 23rd, 16th = Barzal Bieksa and Higgins would likely get us 2 3rds by themselves, and the 16th and 23rd would be needed to move up in the draft. Lmfao gtfo Bieksa is not a top 4 defenseman anymore he just has the salary of one, Higgins is useless now other then the pk which doesnt merit a 2nd liner, Jensen can't crack the NHL, how do you get through life by jumping to conclusions and making fun of others on a message board
N7Nucks
So play bad for 1st overall? Are we Buffalo now?
NucksFanInOz
I would love to see a deal swung with the Jackets. To Columbus: Hamhuis, Bonino, Jensen and Cassels. To Vancouver: The 8th pick and Jenner. Argue among yourselves about this proposal, but this gives us a shot at Werenski or Provorov or maybe a real offensive threat like Course, Meier, or Rantanen. Boone Jenner would be a very nice addition to our center ice depth. He is and will be better than Bones as far as the two way game goes and is younger, but further along in development than Cassels and shows more upside. Still unsure about Jensen inclusion maybe in maybe out.
