It definitely hurts when a few guys severely under perform..

I have 12 million in 2 players who have combined for 9 pickup points so far. lol  Jordan Staal did better last year when his leg was broken!  Hopefully all the guys who got fat and out of shape in the summer will be getting up to pace in a week or so...

It sometimes seems as if some of the older players just aren't hungry anymore...they could really use some fire and desire like guys like Larkin, Domi, McDavid, Tarasenko, Gudreau, Trocheck, etc...

would not have thought that bickell will suck like he does right now.

legwand and laich doesnt get younger but they are a bit disapointing untill now but i have expected a bit more from bickell.

well...just 3 weeks into the season ....things could change in the next weeks

After a quick start the Oilers are hovering now around where we expected to be; unfortunately one spot lower than the last play off spot. Also like suggested, we would need some breaks and some things to fall in place to actually be a play off team. Like some other teams we've had an injury to a key player, our top pivot. Nor have all our young guns jumped in headstrong yet (the thing that needed to fall in place).

So rather than join the Mathews Chychrun race we have some inquiries out that could see us jump back in harder. Rumours are the Oilers will consider moving a D man for some forward help. Or futures to make room for an alternate deal.

All inquiries to the surf coast!

Interesting so far this year there have been so few waivers. I am going to have to lay down 8 hours next weekend and work the phones. I need a couple fourth line forwards to fill up my ranks and it looks like I am going to have to trade for them.

Sorry about inactivity, my mom broke her back and just now transitioned from the hospital to a long term care ward to recover. The prognosis is that by the end of the year, or early in the new year she will be back in her own flat, happy as a lark. And while returning home yesterday from visiting her, I found out my uncle is in critical condition and not likely to live beyond the weekend due to an allergic reaction to a pre-surgical drug administered to him four days ago which caused him to stroke out and go into a coma. The surgery was relatively routine at the time...so..yeah..busy.

hoping for a speedy recovery for mom.

sorry to hear of your uncle's condition. Anesthesia can be a scary thing and allergies to those drugs a hard to diagnose until they are given.

all the best to you and your family.

Nice work with your club arby - Larkin and Domi are highballing for you.  Those few guys at the bottom of your lineup are young - perhaps to be expected.

My club on the other hand...no production at all (as in 0 fantasy points) from Datsyuk, Brodie, Macarthur, Markstrom, Russell (who is healthy), and very little from a handful of other guys...  The Leafs suck (again!).

thank you for keeping  it real in Toronto!

The Habs are incredibly pleased with their current standing in the CDCGML, but there are some concerns near the bottom of the lineup as six players on the 23-man roster have tallied less than 10 fantasy points, two of them adding zero. The waiver wire and the trade market will be combed over during the next week or two in the hopes of jumpstarting the bottom of the lineup.

Violins for you :P

Thanks for that. We've suffered through some lean seasons here in Montreal, having missed the playoffs in every season of the CDCGML so far, but we're thrilled with what they injection of youth has done to our team to start. Hopefully the production from the kids, notably Larkin and Domi, is somewhat sustainable.

Ha. Thanks. I guess non-producing depth guys is a better problem to have than a loaded LTIR section.  :P
