Three teams in the Pacific Division jumped up by at least one spot in the standings, proving yet again how tight and tough that division has become! After the Kings, only 311 points separate 2nd from last, closer to 500 everywhere else. In the Central Div. the Blues have indeed had a great weekend and on the strength of the last two days, they too move up in the standings!

The Jersey Devils have made the jump from 4th to 2nd in the Metro division. It must be those Meterosexual beards that are driving the brand, but at this rate they could just drive themselves to the top of the league, nevermind the division. Montreal and Tampa both move up in the Atlantic Division, a tough thing to do in arguably the hardest division in the league. This division is the only one to have a 1300+ team sitting out of the play-off picture if the season ended this morning, and not just one, but two. Wow.

With Price injured for a month and the Eastern Conference race being so competitive, Tampa is looking at creative ways to stay in contention as we await our lord and saviour's return.

Tampa is looking to upgrade its forward group by adding a top-6 forward on a playoff team. We are looking at moving some of our better picks/prospects if it means getting the "right" fit. Look to see Orpik (pending UFA) and/or Ron Hainsey to be moved in any package to make the cap numbers work.

Wild end November on high

An excellent November is just hours away from ending for the Minnesota Wild; with one round of games left the Wild are top of the NHL, and top for the month with a 20pt cushion. General Manager Captain Woodget has not shied away from making improvements to the Wild's roster and, though future seasons look akin to the Chicago Blackhawks' recent post-Stanley Cup seasons due to the Wild's anticipated cap troubles, the team is concentrating on one thing only - progressing through the playoffs and winning the Cup.

"The team I inherited could easily have made the playoffs," said Woodget. "But I wanted much more than that for this team. To go deep - truly deep - in the playoffs you need quality in all positions, on all lines and pairings. I've made some moves in the trade market and I'm pleased to see that these are coming off at the moment.

"Colin Wilson, Matt Calvert and Trevor Daley are all big-time players, and I look forward to them continuing to get used to our style and contributing on the scoresheet. I have been very impressed with Jake Allen and Petr Mrazek in net - Jake leads all our players this month by some distance and Petr continues to improve with each passing week.

"I am also relieved that Corey Perry, Pat Maroon and Hampus Lindholm have started to produce - they concerned me greatly early on in the season and I was on the verge of considering listening to trade offers for them. As it stands, there are very few players I am concerned with right now and I can only hope that this continues for the rest of the season."

With his side flying high and points being scored across the line-up, where else can Woodget look to improve his team? Could he look to relieve some of his future cap restrictions by trading right winger Marian Gaborik, fresh from scoring two goals the previous night? Or could the Wild's 1st round pick for 2016 be in play also?

He has replaced struggling forward raffl Very well so far.....We would rather See raffl also scoring though

Gryba  another time a scratch.

Scratches on the defence has been a real Problem Lately. ...so we are looking to deal for a solid full time  top 4 defender.

If teams have solid Defenders otb. ..contract the Blues.
