SIGNING: The New York Islanders have signed defenceman Ryan Graves to a three year deal.

SIGNING: The New York Islanders have signed goaltender Spencer Martin to a three year deal.

small.png Spencer Martin -3 year, $2.4 million dollar contract ($800,000 per season)

The Isles are delighted to have signed both these quality young players.

With perceived need of depth with both D and goalie in the minor leagues, the organization felt these types of signings were our priority.

The current big league roster is populated by many young players so these prospects can take their time to round out their games in the minors.

RUMOUR: The New York Islanders are suspected of quietly listening on offers for goaltender Petr Mrazek. The belief is the team thinks he will be a starter very soon. They are reported to be seeking picks and prospects but are not shy about exploring larger deals too.

The Blues are really excited that we finally came to an agreement with Joey.

He had 4 strong Years with the Team of the University of Denver and he collected Tons of Awards in this Time.

But his Best Season he kept for 2014/15 ...15 Goals and 25 Assist for 40 Points in 37 Games.

Further ....

NCAA (NCHC) Best Defensive Defenseman NCAA (NCHC) Best Offensive Defenseman NCAA (NCHC) First All-Star Team NCAA (NCHC) Player of the Year NCAA (West) First All-American Team NCAA Top Collegiate Player (Hobey Baker Award) Finalist

Joey also played 5 Games in the the AHL where he recorded 1 Goal and 1 Assist and well a not so good -4 Rating and 2 Games in the AHL Playoffs with no Points and a -1 Rating.

We cant wait to see what he brings up in this Years Camp but we expect him to Start in the AHL at the beginning of the Season.
