Primal Optimist
Good day for a birthday, C2X, enjoy it. It is the dog days of summer for me, so I am playing Civ 5 and waiting for Burning Man at the end of the month..my wife got her ticket and is stoked about her first time in the Nevada Desert. (*and I booked the ten days off to relax at home hahaha...) Haven't heard of Burning Man..here is a quick vid of one of the last few years..basically 75,000 people camp in the desert for a week to ten days, build amazing works of art and on the last night burn them to the ground. There is booze, artcars, performance art and music..and everyone must bring their own stuff in and take their own stuff out...not a trace of the event is left at the end, and if you litter your banned. Anyways...it is her first year..I don't like the heat so I won't be going, but looks like fun! edit: oh and it is non commercial..the only thing you can buy there is ice, trucked in daily, and coffee at one central camp location. Participants are encouraged to 'gift' a hand made something, preferably artistic, to as many people as possible, or volunteer to build an art piece while there. Canuck Surfer
Couldn't be more pleased with this signing. We were eagerly watching to see if Matt would choose to play this season, and pounced as soon as we got word. Last season Matt took most valuable player of the month in March (BOS CDCGML), for both overall points for the team, and outstanding play. He also helped bolster our play in early playoff rounds. Great to have him as a player, mentor and leader. Happy and proud, that he has chosen to finish his career in Boston. Steal! Good for you G! theminister
What is the compensation? From the OP. 4.2.2 – Offer Sheets Teams are permitted to extend offer sheets to the RFA players of other teams beginning July 1st. These offer sheets may or may not be signed by the player. If they are signed, the club that holds the players rights has 1 (ONE) week to match the offer sheet. If the team declines to match, they would receive compensation based on the following chart.$1,000,000 or less - None$1,000,001 - $2,100,000 - 3rd round pick$2,100,001 - $3,000,000 - 2nd round pick$3,000,001 - $4,100,000 - 1st round pick$4,100,001 - $4,750,000 - 1st and 3rd round picks$4,750,001 - $5,500,000 - 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick$5,500,001 - $6,000,000 - 1sts, 2nd and two 3rd round picks$6,000,001 - $6,500,000 - 1st, two 2nd and two 3rd round picks$6,500,001 and up - two 1st, two 2nd and two 3rd round picks

Martin Jones: 5 years, $ 19.25 million dollar contract ( $ 3,850,000.00 per season ). * the Florida Panthers have one week to match this offer. We would like to formally welcome Martin to the organisation. Not everyday a team is able to bring in a young up and coming starter. We feel Martin will seize the opportunity to be our starter. Andrei and him will create a great tandem in our crease. This is my first offersheat and I understand it puts teams in an uncomfortable situation. With only so many starting goalies in the league I had to be creative. Thank you OTTS for understanding.
