arby18_
ARBY-BUZZ Monday, August 17 2015 Not much to report during these dog days of Summer, but there may be an update out of the Ryan Ellis camp prior to his arbitration hearing. Rumours coming out of the players camp suggest that the relationship between the player and the Washington Capitals have been strained past the point of no return, and that the player will be looking to be moved regardless of the outcome of the hearings. greensman
Arbitration/Signing: CDC Arbitration between Ryan Ellis and the Washington Capitals was completed Monday. The mediator found that both strong cases carried strong merit, but strong influence was put toward comparable RFA signings, and the players expected role in the coming season (IRL and CDCGML). Ryan Ellis - 1 year, $4.5 million If an arbitration award is within $1 million dollars of the teams desired contract proposal, the award is binding (CBA 4.2.3). As a result, the Washington Capitals have signed Ryan Ellis to a 1 year, 4.5 million dollar contract. We thank both sides for their patience and professionalism, in this first arbitration hearing of the CDC.

Primal Optimist
Contract Termination: The Anaheim Ducks terminate Daniel Briere's contract.http://www.nhl.com/ice/m_news.htm?id=777100 Congratulations on a great career Daniel. One of the best playoff performers in the past decade. The New York Rangers would like to extend a heartfelt standing ovation to the entire body of work of Daniel Briere's career, most importantly to our fans though, the time he spent in Red White and Blue at Madison Square Garden! If there was a trophy for outstanding career in the art of professional hockey, while maintaining a gentleman's approach to life and sport, we would be the first to nominate Mr. Briere for that award. In its place however, we will rest knowing that in due time Daniel will be a feature at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Enjoy your rest and your family time, you have earned it. From Elite Prospects: 973 regular season games played, 307 goals, 389 assists .72 points per game 744 plm's..and a lifetime NHL plusminus of -24 124 Playoff Games Played, 53 goals, 63 assists, 116 career playoff points and .94 ppg!!!! 98 plm's and -10 World Juniors: 6 points in 7 games...World Championships: 17 points in 18 games...2.1ppg average in the Q..i could go on, but I would only embarrass the man. Yes, I am a huge personal fan of Danny Briere!
TheRussianRocket.
Q for anyone that may know: How do you figure out if a player is signed by a team or not? I don't know how/what/where to use a search function. The roster docs are team by team so it's so hard to go through every team and search a players name. And searching with the function on CDC doesn't seem to be accurate as some of players names I searched didn't show up but are already signed...searched their names up in the search bar and never came up. :/
