Erik Karlsson
To Van Nail Yakupov To Edm Zack Kassian Kassian is the type of player they need, especially in their top 6 to add some grit and size. Hall-McDavid-Kassian could be lethal Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata Baertschi-Bonino-Yakupov I don't want Kassian to be traded, even other teams fans on HF think he will still be a 50 point player and that he's been misused, but WD and co don't seem to like him. smithers joe
well kassian and yakupov do have something in common...neither knows how to play defensive hockey...
Nuxfanabroad
So we upgrade endangered Coho to the big fish?..Unlikely wish.
ABNuck
Pretty sure Yak is staying...Eberle will be the odd man out (higher net return...and they desperately need something decent in return for whomever they ship out). If they only make minor changes and get a return of 3rd and 4th liners, they will be doomed forever. This is the year they can finally make a big trade for talent they need, rather than just plugging holes with whatever draft pick they get. Edmonton won the lottery (I know...again), but now it's time to actually cash in.
Master Mind
It would take a lot more to get them to part with Yakupov.
Scorvat
28 other teams make a better proposal without blinking an eye.TO EDM Kassian Higgins JensenTO VAN Yakupov And that still isnt enough IMHO. Would have to add atleast one of: Baertschi Shinkaruk Gaunce Cassels Subban Corrado Clendenning Maybe thisTO EDM Hamhuis Kassian Lack Gaunce 1st (23)TO VAN Yakupov 1st (16) 2nd (33)
cripplereh
I agree they want to much and we could do better then to try and get Yak a player that has never lived upto his potential!
Crabcakes
Something simple like Lack for 33 rd is possible. I don't think Van has what Edm wants for Yak or Eberle. One of these guys gets moved imo but for a stud D around 24 yrs old. Really, improving their D should be a priority ahead of goaltending. Awful D can make lots of goalies look bad. Just ask Dubnyk. WHL rocks
Edmonton will be looking for D in return on any trade involving one of their young guns. They would want Tanev and a veteran forward like Higgins who pbbly won't waive his NTC to EDM.

They need Vet D-man and we have 2 that need to go. The question is would either Hammer or Bieska wave to goto Edmonton. I wouldn't.

In return for one of their so called young guns, they want D who will grow with the group. Besides that, sure, Vet D, Vet anything would be useful. SaintPatrick33
I do not know if Yakupov has the style of play to handle the Western Conference playoffs, not to mention he is really inconsistent. Only turns it on the last month of the year when the Oilers are dead last and teams treat playing them like a minor league team, hence his high point totals in those months.
