RonMexico
Oh for the love of God.... A one way contract just means the player will be paid the same whether he's in the NHL or AHL Markstrom just spent the last year playing in the AHL on a one way contract. Get your crap together CDC. It's been 3 years since the last CBA I think the confusion comes from the fact that most 1-way deals aren't waiver exempt.
elvis15
I think the confusion comes from the fact that most 1-way deals aren't waiver exempt. That tends to align a bit, but I'd guess a lot of it has to do with two-way contract being connected to waivers in NHL 13/14/15/etc.
Dazzle
I think the confusion comes from the fact that most 1-way deals aren't waiver exempt. They're also confused by the concept that "two way deals" didn't actually mean that a player was exempt from waivers.
theminister
I think it's a pretty goid indication that they believe Kenins can hold down a full time roster spot next year. It's a money gamble move and if he stays up for a full year it's a bargain deal.
JeremyCuddles
So i guess someone has to go Sedins-Burrows Baertschi-Bonino-Vrbata Hansen-Horvat-Higgins Dorsett-Vey-Hansen Richardson (for now) Kassian and possibly Virtanen and Grenier You have Hansen playing two lines. Glad to have Kenny back. He played good.
ForsbergTheGreat
They're also confused by the concept that "two way deals" didn't actually mean that a player was exempt from waivers. Too much EA sports can be the blame for that
