While it would be great if he could ramp up his speed (like Horvat and Gauce have done), it is impressive that he "processes the game" well enough to anticipate where he needs to be. Some guys rush around a lot but don't accomplish much. Boeser is the opposite. Of course, the NHL game is faster than in the NCAA, making it harder to anticipate, but "being in the right place at the right time" is a valuable skill.

Aleksander Barkov
I loved this pick by GM Head Scout Jim Benning! Brock Boeser looks he could turn into a star sniper in the Nhl. Now that is what I call an exciting prospect to have in your system.

A serious sniper, who is off the charts smart.
DeNiro
Can't wait to see what he can do as he gets stronger and faster. He's already got the shot and the IQ to be a good offensive player. Just needs that extra step and strength and he could be dominant.
Robongo
Quote Boeser also scored each night, extending his goal streak to seven games and his point streak to 12 games. The UND school record for a goal streak by a freshman is eight, set by Kevin Maxwell during the 1978-79 season. Quote Brock Boeser is the rookie of the week in the NCHC. http://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/3928100-commentary-can-anyone-challenge-und-scsu-penrose-cup Third time I believe
Nave
Boeser is a sniper; just the player we needed. But he's also positionally sound, and has good timing with his passes.
asian player
Really, he just needs to improve his skating and gain some weight. He'll refine the other areas of his game through coaching and experience. If he can improve his skating like Horvat, I have no doubt this kid will become an absolute monster.

Yeah well we all know Canucks staff will be on him to work on his stride and speed. It's his only glaring weakness, but it's something that needs to improve to get to the next level of top 6 forward. Agreed, though, that to be effective in today's game foot work/ acceleration needs to be addressed by most young players.
