Crazy stuff could happen to keep North Dakota out of NCAAs. A win #1 Denver tonight in NCHC Final Four would seal it.

No. 1 Denver vs. No. 4 North Dakota

  • What: NCHC semifinal
  • When: 7:38 p.m. Friday
  • Where: Target Center

Is this game on TV tonight?

Rhetorical question - when's Canucks next home game?

So it's a one and done situation tonight and if the win they get in? Or are there other games after that still to qualify?

I thought I found the info but there are 2 conflicting statements.

In contrast, defending national champion North Dakota (20-14-3, 11-12-1-1 NCHC), which faces top-seeded Denver in the second semifinal on Friday in a 2016 Frozen Four semifinal rematch, likely needs a win in Minneapolis to fully ensure a 15th straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.

While North Dakota struggled with a national championship hangover, the top-ranked Pioneers haven’t skipped a beat from last year’s Frozen Four appearance. Riding a 13-game winning streak into Minneapolis, the Pioneers appear to have the edge this time around. Although when two rivals meet in a one-and-done format, rankings and records go out the window.

I'm guessing it's the latter, but still not sure...

"I would guess he's going to sign after the season. I have a good general sense." - Brad Schlossman (UND hockey writer) on Brock Boeser

"This year's been more challenging. He had a lot more time & space last year. A lot of teams are focusing on Boeser." - Schlossman on Boeser

"If UND's season does end before the Frozen Four, I would be surprised if he doesn't want to sign & get an NHL game." - Schlossman on Boeser

This really is confusing other than if UND wins one they are in.

It figures USA University Hockey has to be so complicated!

There is more than 1 game

 https://undhockey.areavoices.com/?p=106059

They are in if

1. UND win at least one game.

2. Boston College loses either in semifinals or finals of Hockey East.

3. Quinnipiac loses either in semifinals or finals of ECAC.

4. Penn State loses in quarterfinals of Big Ten.

5. Ohio State loses in quarterfinals of Big Ten.

6. Minnesota wins Big Ten title.

Sounds like they're probably in.

They would need a lot of games to all go wrong.

Just a heads up for everyone:

North Dakota is playing Denver tonight at 5:38 pm Pacific Time in the Frozen Faceoff.

I'm not sure but I believe if ND loses that game, then their season (and Boesers) is over (looks like some confusion over this). Paving the way for his advancement into our organization.

In any case, the game will be televised on CBS, DirectTV221, and Dish Network 158. So there may be streams out there to hunt down.

Also radio on KQHT 96.1 :  http://961thefox.iheart.com/

Thanks for the info.

If it's true that if UND loses tonight and season is over, then we'll be seeing Brock sooner than later.

I hope not.  For as banged up as reports had him this season I'd like to see him sit and relax.

yeah, but if he's playing with UND, his wrist has to be good enough to go.

assuming he doesn't re-aggrevate it further, he should at least be in the city and with the team to get a feel, and a good sense of what's expected...
