I see he clarified that in a late post. Even with that, since when does every single prospect pan out? it would be very cool, but it is still very optimistic

Even with that, since when does every single prospect pan out? it would be very cool, but it is still very optimistic those future line ups are always so silly. too much changes year to year for them to ever be accurate. For those line ups to be accurate all of these things would have to come true: Every prospect reaches potential No one drafted after 2017 would make the team No one traded after 2017 would be on the team (or be excluded from the team) No one signed as a FA after 2017 would be on the team (or excluded for leaving via free agency) ((other than Evander Kane because everyone who does these line ups wants him signed and has him on the top line.)) I don't know why this has always bothered me so much haha If people want to make these lists and they have fun with it, then that's cool. I'm just going to judge silently from now on

It's easier to slot in your own prospects when predicting future lineups than taking an absolute shot in the dark trying to predict trades and FA's. I appreciate optimism though.

If this is true I think this would be a great opportunity for the kid. Imagine a gold medal final between Pettersson vs. Gaudette. What a garbage season this lineup has ahead of them. Deniro, is that you? 15 hours ago, aGENT said: Yeah sorry, that fantasy lineup was definitely meant for a few years in the future. Even with that, since when does every single prospect pan out? it would be very cool, but it is still very optimistic That's not 'every single prospect' FWIW. And it's just a fun exercise based on the info we currently have available to us....eesh Unlike the rest of you, I don't know the exact players we'll be drafting the next couple years or how every guy pans out. Yes, maybe Goldobin or somebody doesn't pan out. Chances are, another prospect does (maybe even someone yet to be drafted) and takes that guys spot. Pretty much every guy there is currently on a pretty positive trajectory. It's a 'best guess' and, I don't think' terribly unrealistic given present info. I can't believe I'm having to actually explain this on a freaking hockey forum as though this is the first time you guys have seen a 'what if' projected lineup a couple years in to the future. Bunch of grumps today

My guess is they'll offer him the same opportunity to burn 9 games at the end of this year (like Brock got) if we're out of the playoffs or there's a spot available due to injury or trade. Popular Post Gaudette Celly
https://www.nhl.com/canucks/news/vancouver-canucks-adam-gaudette/c-292582320 Excerpts: Quote "Over the past two years, he's become a better 200-ft player," said Madigan. "His offensive skills were always there and he continues to refine those offensive skills, but he's become a really reliable two-way guy. He's just a hard working, driven kid who wants to score goals and hounds pucks. There's not a lot of things you have to ask him to do on the ice. He just does them." "He leads on the ice more than anything. He's got a tremendous work ethic and a tremendous drive, determination and second effort. So that resonates with his teammates and has the ability to carry over to their game. Guys see him doing that work and putting in that effort and it becomes infectious in the locker room and you start seeing the younger guys doing the same," he said. Boeser the Sequel, coming this Spring. 1
