I’m not sure how long they’ll hold his rights for but I believe it’s a one year deal he signed overseas so if he wants to come back to North America next year it’ll be with the Canucks organization, unless they trade him. Maybe has an out clause, interesting to see who they see as having a future and those released

Googlie
He must have gotten a big disheartened, though. Saw all his buddies moving on, or moving up. Boucher and Goldobin moved on, and Baertschi not going to stay. Bailey. Lind, Gadjovich and Lockwood called up, yet he never got a sniff although it could be argued that he was the ingredient that made them somewhat successful 1

Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
I still have him pegged to come back next year and likely earn a spot in the bottom six as the Canucks look to flesh out cheaper options in the bottom six in a years time. Still a big Jasek believer. 1 3 1

I'm hoping he's back next year as well to flesh out an inexpensive bottom 6. Edited August 13, 2021 by aGENT

Popular Post CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Quote According to the translation, Jasek said “When it was confirmed the Canucks would be left out of the playoffs, other Comets dudes were called from Vancouver. I wondered why I wasn’t called. I was disappointed and sad when I didn’t get a chance upstairs. I had been in the organization for three years and done everything the way they wanted.” Couldn't have agreed more with Jasek's sentiments. When he first came over they asked him to play a less offensively oriented game and become a more defensive minded player. He did that. They asked him to play center the past two seasons due to positional shortages which was totally out of his usual niche, yet he did that and thoroughly succeeded. They asked him to be basically Utica's go to guy on all special teams, and he did that this past season. What more did he need to do? Not only this but he worked his tail off in the Czech league and barely got mins and had to fight his way out of that contract with Trinec so he could come to Utica. I can appreciate that they gave Gadjovich, Lockwood, Lind a look because of their status as prospects, but Jasek did everything the organization asked of him to and didn't get a look. I don't blame him for looking for a different option here. Could have very well burnt a bridge with him. He may choose to just wait his time out in Europe as his RFA status goes up at the end of 2025 season. Its a bit of shame cause I saw a pathway for him to succeed Sutter some point this season or next season to be our fourth line C. 3 1 1
Dixon Ward
Jasek with a goal and an assist today for the Pelicans. Jasek is playing 1st line center. Utunen on top pairing defense. They played against Joni Jurmo, 2nd pairing defense, and Petrus Palmu, 2nd line winger who had 2 assists. Would have been a fun one to watch for Canucks' fans. GoldenAlien
It’s early goings but he’s now tied for second in Liiga scoring with 6 points.

I like Jasek, but I don't see a path for him in Vancouver. He's not going to replace Peterson or Horvat in the top 6 center, so we might be best option to trade his rights for a pick or someone who projects as a 3rd / 4th lime center. Give him a chance to succeed with another team.
