Finnish Aho
Hey guys, i made a mock up of what i think the future Canucks could look like since we just finished the draft i thought now would be the time. the following includes a list of safe bets that should be expected to be playing in the NHL along with their ages and the non-crossed out players in my opinion will be playing for the Canucks followed by a list of more risky picks along with their ages. Safe bets: Horvat (25) Virtanen (24) Boeser (23) McCann (24) Demko (25) Gaunce (26) Corrado (27) Grenier (27) Pedan (25) Brisboise (22) Kenins (29) Riskier picks: Baertschi (27) Clendening (27) Shinkaruk (25) Subban (24) Jensen (26) Pettit (24) Neill (23) Gaudette (23) Jasek (22) Olson (23) Zhukenov (23) Tryamkin (26) I may of left some prospects out but that's okay because that means they aren't really relevant enough to make the roster.... Other players that should be expected to be playing for the Canucks in 5 years time should probably include the following among others; Chris Tanev (30) Luca Sbisa (30) Sedins (39) hopefully something like this could be arranged? (if everybody reaches about their ceiling or about higher) **may not be realistic but would be cool** Baertschi - Zhukenov - Virtanen Shinkaruk - Horvat - Boeser Sedin - Sedin - Jasek Gaunce (LW) - Cassels - Grenier Subban - Tanev Sbisa - Brisboise Tryamkin - Pedan Demko PP: Sedin - Sedin - Virtanen Subban - Baertschi PK: Gaunce - Horvat - Cassels Tryamkin - Pedan Horvat ©: I think Horvat will be a great shutdown two-way center with more developed offensive abilities playing with offensive yet defensively responsible [players could lead to a line you don't want to mess with. Sedins (A): The Sedins will have aged in 5 years and would slowly be demoted to the 3rd line and PP time because that's where they work their magic. Cassels (A): A great future shutdown center, great on the boards and with face offs, a chippy player who can get under the opponents skin, has decent offensive upside by getting to the dirty areas. Tryamkin - Pedan: 3rd pairing Russian shutdown defense man you don't want to f* with. Jasek: a young Czech player even in 5 years. a cerebral Sedin like player finally that right winger we have been looking for, why couldn't you come sooner? Grenier: a big bodies player who can protect the puck well tasked with playing alongside Gaunce and Cassels two defensive specialists Subban - Tanev: A great 1st pairing, a highly offensive and a highly defensive dman

Winter Soldier
Any specific reason you don't foresee McCann sticking with the team? Not flaming but curious.

Finnish Aho
Any specific reason you don't foresee McCann sticking with the team? Not flaming but curious. yeah i had him on the 3rd line with the Sedins because that was the only place i could fit him an that in itself didnt make much sense because i see him more like a top center and if he were to stick with the canucks he would probably be moved to right wing and Jasek then made more sense because he is described as a cerebral sedin like player and thought that could be a good effective line he could learn a lot from playing on so basically Jasek/McCann on a side note: when you look at the team altogether it doesn't look like much but when segmented into individual lines you can see their intended roles.... 1A 1B 2A Shutdown line 1A 2A Shutdown line
Bob.Loblaw
I will be so pissed if none of our draft picks from 2016 on make the NHL, and I will be SUPER pissed if we don't bring any players from the outside.

DownUndaCanuck
Baertschi - Horvat - Virtanen Shinkaruk - McCann - UFA sniper Sedin - Sedin - Boeser Vey - Gaunce - Cassels UFA/trade - Tanev Edler - Clendening Sbisa - Corrado Markstrom Demko Pretty cappy compared to some other prospect pools out there but hopefully Horvat, Cassels, McCann, Baertschi, Virtanen, Clendening, Corrado and Markstrom are good enough to be full-time NHLers or big trades will be needed. Not crappy in my eyes (forward line-up). 4th line is however. We need a bit more toughness overall. Im not liking our back-end prospect depth. DinoTambo
If the twins are still here in 5 years, I'd be shocked. And disappointed. As soon as these current contracts are up, they gotta go.
