Anders Lee has signed a four-year deal worth $3.75 million per year:

The New York Islanders announced today that forward Anders Lee has agreed to terms on a four-year contract.

Lee scored 25 goals and 41 points in 76 games as a rookie last season with the Islanders. The Edina, MN, native finished second on the Islanders in goals and fourth among National Hockey League rookies.

“Anders has proven to be an effective goal scorer over his two seasons with the club,” Islanders General Manager Garth Snow said. “We’re thrilled to have another home-grown talent signed long term.”

The Islanders selected the 24-year-old winger in the sixth round (152nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft. He has 57 points (35 goals, 22 assists) in 100 career NHL games and 46 points (25 goals, 21 assists) in 59 career American Hockey League games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

“I’m extremely excited to finalize this deal and ensure that I’m a New York Islander for the next four seasons,” Lee said. “The organization has been nothing but first class to me from the moment I was drafted. I look forward to competing for the Stanley Cup in each year while playing in front of the best fans in the NHL."

At the collegiate level, Lee led Notre Dame in goals during each of his three seasons in South Bend, totaling 116 points (61 goals, 55 assists) in 124 career games. As a freshman during the 2010-11 season, Lee was named Second Team All-CCHA and was selected to the CCHA's All-Rookie team, while also being Notre Dame's Rookie of the Year. Lee served as an alternate captain his sophomore year and was named Notre Dame’s lone captain for his junior year, when he was named First Team All-CCHA.

Prior to his collegiate career, Lee played for the Green Bay Gamblers of the United States Hockey League, leading the league in goals (35) and earning Rookie of the Year honors. He led Green Bay to the USHL's 2010 Clark Cup Championship and was named the USHL Clark Cup MVP.

Let's hope he keeps his consistency for next season. Otherwise, it'll be a very icky situation.

But still, good signing but time will tell if this was worth it.

This is a huge steal. Lee is really freaking good and he's versatile. Not to mention his 6'3 frame

Plus he scores goals and hits a ton and barely played on a line with Tavares.

The cap hit is a bargain for the Isles. Great signing.
