dominicanbob
Canucks are missing size on defense. Why not give Ty Wishart a tryout . http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/ty_wishart/ He big, mobile, and a prime age at 27. He's a local guy from Comox and former first round draft pick. I haven't been able to find anything negative about him.
Ghostsof1915
2 points in the ECHL, 2 points in Sweden last year. So much upside....
dominicanbob
Somewhat more to playing defense than your small sample of stats. I've watched him play for the Islanders and he looked very capable. Certainly worth a train camp invite.

I know people from Comox and the reason he busted out so badly was because he never took the game seriously and got wasted all the time, in-season or off-season. dominicanbob
Well I golfed with him, his sister, and mother and he certainly seemed to be level headed and serious about his hockey. Wasted in season- highly doubtful.
Hairy Kneel
"does not use his body enough" I think some guys need that compete level more than a pure talent level

You know this is an arm-chair GM section. For fans to have fun and make proposals? I don't think he's worth a contract, might be big but Utica has enough depth on D
Monty
Well I golfed with him, his sister, and mother and he certainly seemed to be level headed and serious about his hockey. Wasted in season- highly doubtful. So this is why you want to give him a chance? Because you golfed with him? Guess what, I grew up playing hockey with Ian White. Even won a ball hockey tournament with him (two years younger than me). Really nice guy. Canucks should sign him too. FAIL.
