[Signing] Oilers sign Andrej Sekera

Man LA is making some pour decisions. They gave up McKeown + 1st (2016) for a guy they got 20 games for. Then they gave up a big package including their 1st (2015) for a Lucic who could very well leave them at the end of the season.

By next year if could be two 1st round picks gone and nothing to show for it.

True but they just won 2 cups. They are allowed to take risks

All those good moves made and then this?

Chiarelli ya boob HAHAHAHAHAHA that length at that term is going to handcuff this team so badly in signing Yak let alone any of the other boys to future contracts.

Buried this team with that cap hit

Seeing a real dichotomy here. LA, Boston, and Pittsburgh are selling off their high draft picks AND their prospects, and in some cases like this losing them for basically nothing. Soon their key players will be past prime and they will have nothing to replace them with as there'll be a big gap in their system -- sound familiar?

On the other hand, Chicago keeps cycling players in and out, and clearly has a good drafting and development program that they can trade away guys like Clendening and Saad and have replacements come in.
