Piggy Bank
To New York: Daniel Sedin (retain 50%) Henrik Sedin (retain 50%) * New York will get 1 and 1/2 seasons out of the Sedin's to win a cup. To Vancouver: Cap dump Matthew Barzal Ryan Pulock 1st 2016 Nelson Tavares Okposo Daniel Strome Nielson Kulemin Henrik Bailey Martin Cizikas Clutterbuck

Odd.
Why New York out of all places?
Crackers
Interesting idea. I don't know if it's smart to split up the Sedins after trading for BOTH of them.
Big Time
That's a nifty return. Would love to see them throw in Josh Ho-Sang. The cap retention is way too much. Also, I think the Sedins have three years left on their deal so it would be fore 2.5 seasons assuming this is a trade deadline deal. Still, don't see any reason why they would go to the Islanders. No former teammates there, no ties whatsoever to the city. Just can't see them waiving to go there.

qwijibo
I'm sure ownership would be thrilled to pay the Sedin's $7 million a season for the next three years to play for the Islanders

Aladeen
God awful return and have to retain salary to boot.
William_Clarkson
Whether it's good for the organization or not (which I don't think it is), it's almost certain that the Sedins will play out their careers here (at the most they might be sent to a cup contender in their last season with us retaining some). shazzam
If we are retaining 50% salary, we better be getting back king's ransom. They are still legit first liners
Me_
The Sedins have challenged younger players to dethrone them. And rightly so. They will still be our 1st liners for a while yet.
Skirbs11
you can easily get more out of NYI. they are going to have a strong top line 2 lines already with Nelson-Tavares-Okposo Lee=Strome-Nielson then add in Sedin-Sedin-Baily. Thats probably the team with the 3 strongest top lines in the east. Not to mention we are handing them 2 Elite forwards for a combined cap hit of 7 million. Pulock, Barzal, Dal Colle 1st Barzal and 1st=Henrik Pulock and Dal Colle= Daniel
