[Signing] Blues re-sign Jaskin

Recommended Posts

ST. LOUIS - Blues forward Dmitrij Jaskin has agreed to a one-year contract.

During his rookie campaign, Jaskin scored 13 goals and five assists (18 points) in 54 games this season. He also recorded a plus-7 rating and 16 penalty minutes.

Of his 13 goals, four were game-winners.

Jaskin was drafted by the Blues in the second round (41st overall) at the 2011 NHL Draft.

Since July 1, the Blues have acquired forward Troy Brouwer in a trade with the Washington Capitals and signed Jori Lehtera (three years), Robert Bortuzzo (two years), Jake Allen (two years) and Kyle Brodziak (one year).

Curious as to the AAV, and also to why it's only a one-year deal. I'd have thought two years bridge would have been the norm.
