Which era is the best for NHL logos and jerseys?

Which era has the best jerseys and logos?

Is it the era of Maurice Richard and Frank Mahovlich in actual sweaters?

Or is it the era of Guy Lafleur, Gilbert Perrault, and Bobby Orr with more teams with more diversified looks?

Maybe it's the Gretzky era, with Mark Messier and Trevor Linden and the bright colours of the 80s and early 90s?

Perhaps it's the era of the West Coast Express, Steve Yzerman, and Joe Sakic, flying around in darker shades.

And last but not least, is it the era of Crosby and Ovechkin, with modern jerseys and logos?

That's a tough call. My top 5 logos are from different eras.

Good question. I'll go with the modern era, since the majority of the jerseys then had proper striping and non of this nonsense:

Yea striping isn't a big deal to most, but it doesn't feel like a hockey jersey without it. It's pretty common in the league now, but it wasn't 10 years ago.

I like these, agreed with the simplicity when it comes to the striping.

also like the current Canucks, Winnipeg, Jagr-Richards era Stars jersey and the Joe Sakic-era Avalanche jerseys (don't like the current trim on theirs). In fact, I like most of the current jerseys, other than the Canes' red, Dallas' toothpaste-colored, Florida's, LA's and Washington's star jersey and the ones mentioned above.

Honestly, it's the most recent era. We've seen some bad ones, but also many goods ones.

I love 80's jerseys. The old Whalers, Nords, Rangers, Hawks, Flames, Bruins, Kings, Jets, and so many other great jerseys from that era. I think the worst ones are the modern ones. So many teams without stripes. You wouldn't think, but stripes really make/break a jersey. Also just... A whole lotta ugly The second half of the 90's were bad, but only cause it was an experimental time between classic and modern jerseys. The 2000's before Reebok jerseys were pretty fantastic though.
