On average asians have a higher IQ than whites and make more money. Is that because of privilege? Or is it because they value education and want to succeed in life? "White privilege" is an excuse non whites use for their failures. White majority countries and certain asian countries are by far The Most civilised and Advanced places in The world. "White privilege" really means white achievement. This Show is openly racist towards white people and is trying to make us feel guilty for being succesful. When are they going to make a Show called " asian people"? Or "jewish people"? Because they Both must have lots of "privilege".

Many asian immigrants do come from wealthy, privileged families, although many are very hardworking and certainly have faced their own challenges.

The thing about black people is that they have been faced with a lack of opportunity for generations which has driven families into poverty and caused problems for future generations, and the majority of leaders responsible for the decisions that caused this where (and are white). Some may take it too far, but generally the point is to not to make white people guilty for their success but to educate society so that minorities can have an equal opportunity. There is nothing wrong with white people being successful however there is something wrong when success comes at the expense of fair opportunity for all races. But generally this is more about society as a whole rather than singling out every single white person that ever lived.

The fact of the matter is that the concept of "white privilege" does exist, both in North America and parts of Europe. However, the same concept exists in other countries, but within a different race. For example, in places like China or India, a Chinese person is more likely to get a job in China than an Indian is, and vice versa. The important to thing to note is that North America is at least trying to make a conscious effort of bringing light to the issue and pave the way for the whole world.

Its not something you can go out and blame white people for, heck they're the ones that established North America and Europe, but once you open the doors to people from other countries and make them citizens, they should be held at the same regard as anyone else. Our country promotes democracy equality and all the other who-haw but don't actually live up to their own standards.

I hate the fact that humans are still stuck in a predatory mind-state...its quite pathetic, and we're not as advanced as we think we are.

The world is a selfish place, we're all a part of capitalist society with a capitalist thinking. We're selfish, greedy, and avaricious and that's the truth. It's great to see people actually trying to break the barriers and make a difference.

I also want to point out that white privilege isn't about shaming white people. At least not for me. I feel like its to get people to understand other peoples perspective and situation. And then we can come to an understanding.

The definition of white tends to be different in South America. The concepts of racial purity are not as prevalent.

In South America many people with complexions like Jennifer Lopez would consider themselves white. In Europe or North America, people would consider them mixed or Hispanic.

Please tell me how this show is openly racist towards white people. Have you even seen the show?

As other people in this thread have said, the concept of white privilege is not about shaming white people. It's just important to be self-aware and acknowledge the privileges that being white in predominately white-dominated society afford you, so that you don't end up believing all the ridiculous crap that you just posted. To paraphrase Louis CK: "I love being white, but if you're white and don't admit that it's great, you're an asshole."
