Remember Back to the Future?

Lea Thompson was 26, they just gave her make up to look older.

What's the big deal? My hope it's a bomb. So that Sony finally gives up on Spider-Man. And Marvel can do it right.

Not necessary. This new reboot is Marvel.

I'm getting more pumed for this movie. As a huge marvel fan I am 100 percent behind this, much like the decision to make Susan Storm adopted by a black family. (I think that's the story for the new Fantastic Four) There's no need to consistently put out the exact same story. I like when they make minor and significant changes from cannon to make it more original. We have all heard the story of Spiderman for time and memorial, I'm fine with a new movie making changes to try and make it at least kind of original.

Is Aunt May that significant a character to care? Is anyone really going to walk out of the theater talking about Aunt May?

Plus she is 50 now. She looks well for her age but she isn't exactly making my loins violently froth anymore.

Though people always spaz out over characters that look different. I remember people were also quite angry over Amy Adams playing Lois Lane and people also didn't like Anne Hathaway being cast as Catwoman.

Saturated market. What's with all these superhero movies everybody loves now? I thought comics were for nerds? Now you make Chris Hemsworth Thor, and every middle aged woman with nothing better to do go crazy.

They should stop before it's too late. One bad avengers movie was enough.

Movies go through phases, westerns used to be all the rage, coming-of-age stories for awhile, disaster films for a stint, right now it's a superhero & dystopian future phase. It'll continue until the studios start losing money.

Then there'll be a new movie fad trending, one can only hope that musicals remain on the fringe.

No problem with Tomei as grandmother as there are plenty of grandmothers aged 50. Its really a stereotype that grandmothers should be portrayed as white haired elderly women.

A better question is how many reboots of Spiderman they are going to do. Don't Hollywood have any original ideas?

Just because you don't enjoy doesn't mean others don't as well.

Apparently people still like money.

Seems pretty soon after the last set of movies, though. I didn't watch the any of the Andrew Garfield ones...were they really that bad that they have to start over only 3 years later?
