Esposito>>>>>>>Bure. Anyone who says otherwise is a homer.

But i still voted for Bure cause i am a homer, soooo...

Different eras so it`s hard to compare.

Simply looking at stats, Esposito wins by a mile.

But they were both among the best in the league during their time.

Bure is God.

Knowing the Canucks luck we will lose this round because apparently Canucks fans overvalue all of their players. Right, Dim Jim? ^_^

Trader Jim would probably trade Bure for a 2nd round pick.

Yeah, what is it with him and second rounders? He seems to lust after them,

Trev needs to pull him aside and explain they really are not that great.

Depends on how you look at the stats. Bure has a higher goals per game, while playing in a lower scoring era. Most of Esposito's goals were from standing in front of the net and shoveling them in. Bure had to create most of his offense on his own and didn't play with the same quality of linemates as Esposito.

well it's hard to say what Bure could have done with a longer career, but Esposito played almost twice as many games, and scored twice as many points. There's something to be said for longevity.

Esposito got most of his points playing with Bobby Orr, he wasn't even a point a game guy before he came to Boston.

You have to play with good players to put up big points. It's not like Gretzky played with a bunch of scrubs.

And which "good" players did Bure play with? Any Kurri´s, Messier's, Orr's??? Hmm... a Greg Adams and Gino... most of the time... not really the same quality players eh? ;-)

Great VIDEO by the poster. Remember a lot of those goals. Bure was the best player ever to play on this team, and scored a lot of his goals while being hooked, tugged, draped over and slashed. Espo re-wrote the books in his era, but if you watched any of the slow and ho-hum summit series games you notice something pretty quickly - slow. Gotta give this one to Bure.

Esposito won 5 Art Rosses, 2 Harts, and 2 Pearsons, and lead the league in goals 6 times.

Bure lead the league in goals 3 times.

Esposito also had much longer career while still being productive. I love Bure, and I never saw Esposito play, but I'd be very hard pressed to say Bure was better than him by looking at his significant edge in accolades.
