canuck73_3
Thats an extraordinarily moronic and insulting comment to make. It's the equivalent of saying Nucks fans discovered hockey in 2011. Also, he's not wrong. They have a contending team and know whart their team needs in order to be successful. A liability at the back who brings nothing new to the team isnt what you want. And that Sbisa contract is far worse than the Kesler one. Shane O'Brien is a liability theres a reason he was in the AHL while Calgary was a bottom feeder... And sorry but in years 4-6 the Kesler deal will be an albatross and no the Sbisa deal is not worse than it because it is irrelevant. Kesler did not want to be here so who cares what his contract is. As for the moronic bit, sorry but there is a lack of hockey knowledge in Anaheim fact. Most of CDC or some message board idiots in SoCal is not a good resource for grading an NHL contract signing. canuck73_3
McGrattan is a kitten, no-one should back down or be cowering from him. Big guysdont like getting hit, its why Rypien was so successful. McGrattan should be a non-factor. Plus it'll be hard for McGratton to have their backs from the press box.
DownUndaCanuck
They may have offensive talent and toughness but that Anaheim blueline is going to be brutal defensively and leave Hiller wide open a lot of the time. Will make for some fun hockey but they aren't a tight defensive group without Beauchemin there anymore.
hsedin33
He's only effective when playing on the edge, and in that style he takes way too many stupid penalties. Look at how long he held a grudge against us, and look how many dumb penalties he took.

Baer.
In other news, the Roxie has opened a new location in Anaheim. Right down the street from the the arena. SOB may or may not have been seen jumping for joy outside of the construction site, sources say.
Lancaster
He's a good 6/7th defenseman who brings grit and toughness. Plays with an edge, but more than willing to stick up for a teammate. His rep for being a major partier and stuff was before he settled down. IIRC, he's now in a stable long-term relationship, so his partying days are most likely behind him. SOB is a team guy. During the 2011 playoffs, he felt helpless knowing that his friends were being gooned and pushed around by the Bruins and he couldn't do anything about it. Good signing IMO. John Tortorella
Yep let's put stock in a bunch of people who didn't even know what hockey was before 2007 and base our team decisions off that... :picard: Holy fk this. apollo
One of my favourite canucks. That being said, can't wait to see the sedins dance him and have him out of the league shortly. Ducks are piling up on garbage!

-Vintage Canuck-
The three of them should start their own talk show. Pretty similar to how Luongo, Mitchell and O'Brien were together in Florida. Before it was Florida where there were many ex-Canuck players on the team, now it's Anaheim acquiring former Canuck players.

DownUndaCanuck
hiller? My mistake, Gibson, even worse. Gibson and Anderson had great seasons last year but they're still very young and without that rock solid Beauchemin, they will struggle. Lindholm - Bieksa Despres - Vatanen Fowler - Stoner O'Brien Holzer No one on that defence is particularly good at playing shutdown defensive hockey, and they'll rely on Bieksa to play Beauchemin's big 23+ minutes. We had him at 20ish and he struggled defensively in Vancouver. Their season will depend on how well Lindholm, Vatanen, Fowler and Despres have learned to play in the defensive zone. We know they can skate and score, now can they play defence well enough.
