Ursel23
As all of us Canucks fans wait for the upcoming season to get underway I thought it would be fun to create a predictions page. Who will be... Canucks point leader? Canucks top goal scorer? Canucks best defenseman? Canucks most valuable player? Canucks biggest disappointment? Canucks most surprising player? Canucks best shootout performer? Point Leader: It's a no brainer to pick one of the twins. It's just a matter of which one. I'll say the twins tie for the team lead with a total of 76 points each. Top Goal Scorer: Vrbata will probably get less total ice time with the Sedins this year but I don't think that will stop him from being the team leader in goals. I say he finishes with 27 on the year with Daniel close behind him. Best Defender: With how well Edler and Tanev did together last year as the teams top pairing I can see Edler being the solid choice. Hamhuis could contend but he doesn't have a solidified line mate beside him with the loss of Bieksa. I take Edler. MVP: Ryan Miller will silence the haters and show why he is still in Vancouver and Eddie Lack is not. This proven goaltender will help the Canucks steal some wins and fight for a playoff spot all while being the team MVP. Biggest Disappointment: I think this one has to go to a prospect that doesn't work out and that players name is Linden Vey. I don't think he has what it takes to be a full time NHLer. Biggest surprise: If Horvat can land the second line center role with some talented wingers like Vrbata to play with I bet he stands out this year. I'd think Baertschi might be worth honourable mention. Best Shootout: Radim Vrbata. Clutch. These are my predictions for next season! What is your prediction!? Lonny_Bohonos_14
Henrik - 63 Vrbata - 33 (if Vrbata gets dealt: Burrows with 23) Tanev - with Bieksa gone and the potential for Hamhuis to be dealt, the opportunity is there for Chris to step up Horvat - bit of a stretch, but with Richardson gone there's more PK time available, and who knows. Bo could get some PP time as well. Baertschi - not really, but a lot of CDC will be jumping at his every mistake. The real disappointment will be the young defensemen Clendening and Corrado. Vey - with a year under his bealt (and low expectations from most fans) he will step up Baertschi
