Ron_Burgundy
Horvat had a bit of a slow start to last year, but really picked it up after the winter break and played some great hockey down the stretch. He went toe to toe as a 20 year old against some of the biggest names in the game, and managed to come out on top a lot of the time. In the playoffs, he was arguably one of our best - if not our best - performer. Last year, we were also able to see Bones play in the 2C slot for the first time in his career. Not to bash on Nick (he's a solid player and great value for his contract), but he's simply not a number 2 center. So the question is, is our boy BoHo ready to fill that coveted 2nd line center slot? Or do we give him a bit more time to brew before giving him all that responsibility?
CanuckGAME
By mid season i see him on the 2nd line if he keeps progressing at the rate he was last season. I still have faith in Bonino, but i really wasnt impressed with him last season, Horvat during the 2nd half blew me away.
Supra
No. Stick on the 3rd/4th line. Too bad. Could have a #1 RW to play with the Sedins in Nichushkin but oh well. He's a solid player but 50 point 2C is max i see him as. Bonino is much better than Horvat in this league right now.

Edlerberry
i bet he starts 3C but ends up in a 2C slot.
Supra
Get out. Only being realistic friend. Nichushkin has much more elite offensive ability
MRAY
I want him to be in a our #2 center but I feel like he's going to be a 3rd line center
Gstank29
Bo is ready to be our 5on5 2C, whether he will be 2nd among centres in icetime (2C) is yet to de determind. I think Bonino is going to start the season on the 2nd PP over Bo. IE Bo will be getting 2nd best 5 on 5 ice time among centers 1st/2nd best PK ice time among centers Bonino will be getting 3rd best 5 on 5 ice time among centers 2nd most PP ice time among centers Basically 2A and 2B or 3A and 3B
Gstank29
Only being realistic friend. Nichushkin has much more elite offensive ability Cause Nuchuskin is a 1st line winger right
logic
Only being realistic friend. Nichushkin has much more elite offensive ability based on what exactly? he spent last season injured putting up 1 point in 8 NHL games where as Horvat had a huge developmental year. Besides even if Nichushkin does put up slightly more points I'd rather have a solid all around player like Horvat than a streaky pure offensive winger... BMorrison 7
He's good enough to be 2nd line center next year for this team But willie won't play him there
JeremyCuddles
Having seen nothing of his offseason regiment I have absolutely no idea if he is ready for second line duties. But if he works his tail off this off season it is in the realm of possibility of playing second line and succeeding. Although I'd rather he move to the 3rd line. Guest
I think he'll start out as 3c and then maybe during the course of the season switch with Bones to be 2c.
Patrick Kane
3rd line C is plenty, don't need to rush.

oldnews
It's July. We'll see in October, November... Nice thing about the middle Cs though - they can both handle hard minutes, strong opposition - so they could be a 2A/2B regardless of the optics. Bissurnette
Start the year out as a 3rd line C and see where he takes it. Truth is I wouldn't him playing 3C all year. Next year is a different story
Nucks780
Lets not put the pressure on him. I see him start out as a 3rd line center. Then if he outplays bonino by a big margin a few months in, then move him up. He's one of the few things im excited to see next year. If Bartschi or another prospect makes the team, thats a bonus. William_Clarkson
He'll probably start on the 3rd line, but it's possible we could see him bumped up to the 2nd line or his minutes surpassing Bonino's.
dKs89
Whether he is ready or not remains to be seen. Should he be our 2C? Probably.
