Ashley Madison hacked, personal information leaked

Why would these single people care? They have nothing to lose.

ps. I doubt any information is leaked anyway. Who would they leak it to? The karma cops? And those dumb enough to use credit cards for this deserve to be caught imho. What's this AshleyMadison.com bill, honey? Oh nothing dear, where's my steak at?

I think you underestimate the zealous motivation of the internet community in this respect. The group in question has only leaked two names, but should that list become public, there's a rather large arsenal of internet trolls (think 4chan or others) who will ensure that the families of the people in question, and possibly employers, knows about this. The information in the stolen documents includes address and CC info, and a lot of personal tidbits such as user id and profile information, like their marriage status, what they like to do, personal fantasies, etc.

I'm not certain but I'd assume a site like this would have their payment processing registered to their parent company or something, or else just to a corporation number. That way the bill would say something more like 1234567890 llc. ect.

Cheating is bad, but no one is entitled to impose moral judgements on consenting adults. Even if the website does what the hacker wants and shuts down, there is no guarantee that the hacker will not make public the private information, extort people, etc.

I bet 75% of the woman on this site are wives checking to see if their husbands are on it.

I've been on it once out of curiosity to see what type of women are on it. Turns out mostly just seeking fantasies. So in a sense, many are just seeking to communicate, not meet per se. Too old for me anyway. Didn't pay a cent, and don't care if they reveal anything about me. Was just a fake account for anthropology interests.

Bottom line is, married or attached women who feel they are no longer admired or appreciated seem to be on it more. Married guys take note.

Does Pinterest actively promote and encourage people to cheat, commit adultery, lie, and promote misogyny?

No it does not, so I can't see why you used that example.

But none of those things are illegal.

90% of women on that site are fake. They are known for hiring people to make 1000s of accounts to lure men in.

That's like every website on the internet. I am even suspicious of the women on CDC.

Josh Duggar busted.

http://www.msn.com/en-ca/tv/news/josh-duggar-admits-to-cheating-on-wife-i-have-been-the-biggest-hypocrite-ever/ar-BBlW7jP?ocid=ansmsnent11

Josh Duggar Admits to Cheating on Wife: "I Have Been the Biggest Hypocrite Ever"

Josh Duggar has admitted to cheating on his wife, one day after news broke that the 19 Kids and Counting star had a paid Ashley Madison account.

In a statement posted to the Duggar family website, Duggar wrote:

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.

I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.

I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.

The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.

Josh Duggar"

The admission comes one month after TLC canceled the Duggar family's reality show in the wake of a child molestation scandal involving Josh Duggar. Duggar had been accused of molesting multiple underage girls while he was a teenager.

Duggar resigned from his role at the Family Research Council in the wake of the molestation scandal. The organization fought against gay marriage and says its mission is "to champion marriage and family as the foundation of civilization."

Duggar married Anna in 2008. They have four children together.

What consenting adults do behind closed doors is nobody's business.

This.

Even if you think cheaters deserve this, there are others who could be affected by this information being leaked.

When it happens to some other group of people, it's easy to point and laugh. You won't find it funny if it happens to you.

I find smug self righteous progressive types who laugh at others' misfortunes just as repulsive as any cheater could be.

'KARMA' isn't a real force in the world, just to be clear. People get shat on for no reason every day, there isn't any cosmic justice for the man-apes that have risen to the top of the animal kingdom on earth.

I was looking at their twitter page and I enjoy how it is spammed with charts and studies based around cheating xD

I also enjoy that sales pitch

"Life is short. Have an affair. We're the premiere website for discreet connections."

The fact that people need a cheating website to cheat is pretty pathetic.

I think so too.

I think it speaks volumes about the bottom of the barrel lowlifes who don't just "move on" and away from their mates if they feel the need to cheat. The fact that they register to do so? Desperate fools. Try harder in life lazy sods.
