Footy rules question

Tony Romo

Recommended Posts

Penalty kick was awardees during a game, the penalty was saved and the same person that took the penalty got the rebound and scored..is it a goal?

Head of referee in my city says no, but I swear I've seen players get their own rebound and score in the BPL and co.

I should add that the only way this is a good goal is if the goalie touches the ball on the original kick if it hit the post the play would be dead and the he would not be able to score on his 2nd shot

I am not a ref but my understand is that if it hits the post/crossbar and comes back the person who took the pk can't hit the ball again. It must be a defender or a teammate of the person who took a pk. I have seen a couple pks hit the post and the play didn't die.

first part is correct. 2nd part im not totally sure about. :):):)

Yes you are correct on the 2nd part, the kicker can't score the goal on the 2nd shot it must be a different player
