thousands of miles of pipelines and this one is bad... ok.  Trudeau is going to be a disaster because he has no experience and is quite frankly a pussy.

Is this the same Trudeau that smacked around a guy 75 lbs heavier than himself in the squared circle?

It has to be done at a national level or it won't be effective.

It's gonna cost more initially, because like you said the technology currently isn't there. That's the failure of the Conservatives thinking they could ride the oil train forever though. They should have been dumping oil revenue into R&D for green technology research.

If we had done that we would be ahead of the game right now and be world leaders. There's a reason why Germany's economy is always so strong. It's because they're a country full of innovators. Wouldn't it be nice for Canada to lead the way in something again, instead of following behind the laggards of the world?

Canada would again lead the way in running up its national debt if it goes that route, the costs are bound to be massive.

The way I see it, going Green energy is technologially akin to phasing out fossil fuelled vehicles; while we've had electric vehicles for over 100 years, its only very recently where they're starting to look like a feasible option.

That's the wrong way of thinking. People don't include the costs that the tar sands have, not only on our environment, but the negative reputation it's causing us around the world. Both of those factors have huge costs associated with them.

And switching to electric cars means we're going to need electricity to fuel them. SO one way or another we're going to have to invest in clean energy. Either we do it now and are prepared for the future, or we're left scrambling to keep up with the rest of the world in 20 years.

We've been racking up national debt investing in the oil sands, which are unsustainable. I'd rather that money go towards something that's renewable and has a much more long term benefit.

Once Obama is out of office, this will happen.

I'm on the fence because of the amount of jobs it would create...but worried about the environmental impact.

Unless the Republicans win the White House there will be no Keystone XL project since Hilary Clinton is also against it.

So basically it's not happening..,

No chance the Republicans win with the goobers they have running.

The Energy East pipeline is the only pipeline with a chance in hell now. And things aren't looking good for that either.

Yea, but when it comes down to Trump vs Clinton, as painful as it might be for Americans, they'll have to vote Clinton.

At least she has Bill as her adviser, who was a pretty good President (other than the whole Lewinski thing)
