Prust and Dorsett were 2nd and 3rd respectively in fighting majors last season but losing Kassian/KB3 will bring us down a bit

1 Columbus Blue Jackets - 44
2 Anaheim Ducks - 35
3 Buffalo Sabres - 33
4 Ottawa Senators - 33
5 Pittsburgh Penguins - 33
6 Winnipeg Jets - 32
7 Colorado Avalanche - 31
8 Vancouver Canucks - 31

We also just picked up one of the best penalty killers in the league.

Prust - Sutter - Burrows will be a good PK

Prust will be spending his time in the box and will be unavailable.

Would love to see Connor McDiagle matched up against Prust - Sutter - Dorsett to see how he fairs

Should not have thrown away Sestitooooooooo?

Absolutely one way to make games entertaining, esp. in Canada, if the wins aren't coming is to amp up the fights. But I think most games will be air tight and gooning it up can only happen if the bottom falls out on the season or we are way ahead of everyone in our division.

It's obvious that Kassian didn't want to fight here. A shame, really. Prust coming in to replace him automatically makes us more of a throwing team. But it's him and Dorsett. That'll be all. Sbisa and Bartkowski can drop em the odd time as well.

Kassian and Bieksa only fought a combined 4 fights between the two. Not a major loss in that department, but their intimidation and losing of that does hurt us.

Adding Prust will alleviate the pressure on Dorsett to always drop the mits so I expect Dorsetts and Prusts numbers to taper a bit but it is a shared responsibility.

More so I expect Luca Sbisa to drop the gloves a few more times this season with the minus of Bieksa. Not many realize this but he is the only one that brings the physical element to the blueline as he was the one who lead with hits. Without Juice, the intimidation level isn't as threatening anymore so Sbisa is going to have to pick up the slack majorly.

Well, I remember when Horvat wanted to drop the mits with Tarasenko but Tarasenko refused. Hopefully we will be able to see Horvat drop the mits maybe once this year ;)

Okay, so Bieksa fought 3 times and Kassian fought once. Just look it up. They rarely fight.

Yes, rarely but subtraction is subtraction.

Few other interesting things

John Scott only fought 3 times

Lucic only fought 3 times

Bartkowski fought twice

They looked for fights and rarely found willing partners.

Fighting a bunch doesn't mean you are a feared fighter. Just means more players are willing to drop with you.
